Monday'S Child Uk Description
Using drama techniques to raise the aspirations of children and young people by teaching them that life is a series of choices through which they learn self-respect, trust and empathy; a valuable skill in understanding why we behave the way we do.
Monday’s Child is a charitable company that assists vulnerable children and young people, (many of whom may have experienced difficulties as a result of financial hardship, family breakdown, neglect and abuse) to reach their full potential.
We see drama techniques as the vehicle to deliver this and provide the coping mechanisms that life demands to enable these individuals to thrive in our community.
We believe that life is a series of choices and consequences for which we have to take responsibility and drama is an ideal format to illustrate this because we can embellish valuable life lessons with play. This is not just about acting as we focus on utilising the skills required in every aspect that makes up a production from onstage, backstage and front of house. This means every participant has the opportunity to find their niche and excel.

On Saturday some really wonderful people put themselves through hell to raise money for MCUK. Having raised over £3,000 we cannot express our gratitude to this lovely bunch enough.
