Mother's Day Tea It was wonderful to see all the mum's getting stuck into the activities with their children...even the messy activities! We had a really great turn out and the children loved singing for everyone. Thank you mum's, we hope you liked your presents (made by the children) and have a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

"My Mummy is a Soldier" is a wonderful book for all ages. Thank you so much to one of our mums, for coming along to read it to our Robins and Blackbirds. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!

World Book Day - Robin's room have gone all out! The children have celebrated by dressing up as their favourite fictional character, from Willy Wonker to Hermione Granger and bringing in their favourite books to read at circle time too. The Robins' staff have used "The Colour Monster" as inspiration for their costumes following a project on the book. Each colour represents a different emotion in the story and this has helped the children begin to differentiate between different feelings they have and discuss ways of managing them.

Today at nursery, Robins & Blackbirds made pancakes with sugar and lemon for their mid morning snack, in celebration of Shrove Tuesday.
It’s a Christian celebration of feasting right before Lent, where participants fast or give up their vices until Easter.

Parents - Don't forget tomorrow (Fri, 16 November) is 'Wear your onsie day'. Your child can come to nursery for the day in their onsie / pj's for a small donation to Children in Need.

Cars beeping for Pudsey :)

Our second Pudsey Ramble, this time we had lots of cars beeping for Pudsey 😉

All our little Pudsey's are looking forward to their ramble today.

Is it a bird....is it a plane...No.....it's Pudsey in Tatsfield!!

Pudsey Ramble - All of the Blackbirds and Robins worked together so nicely today whilst on the Ramble, following Pudsey himself through the trees, collecting leaves, waving to horses and cars, and stomping through the squelshy mud. Pudsey made us all laugh by doing silly dances to get the cars to toot! Well done everyone!

How many laps around the track can you do in 3 mins? Our children did lots and had a great time trying to keep up with Megan as well. Look at our results board during pick up.

It is that time of the year again - 'Children in Need' week. The children will be participating in loads of fun sponsored activities to raise money. We will also be holding a raffle and selling cookies and cakes, so parents, please bring your money with you at pickup / drop-off.

During the run up towards Remembrance Sunday, the children in Robin's room enjoyed learning all about poppies and why we wear them at this time of the year. They explored creative activities making collages and paintings whilst discussing how the poppies help us remember those who died in the war and it was 100 years ago that WWI ended.

The children in Robins and Blackbirds absolutely loved learning all about fireworks and fire safety today. They explored making explosive firework paintings on black card as "The night sky", and the older children enjoyed learning about fire safety with an experiment using candles. They learnt that fire needs fuel (oxygen) and heat to burn, and if you take one element away, the fire will go out.

Robins & Blackbirds have been busy with some lovely Halloween activities; making slime, singing Halloween songs, pumpkin carving, making potions, pumpkin soup, play dough with eyes and legs, giant cob webs and making Halloween decorations. 🎃🎃
