Monty's is a quality driven Coffee shop. We serve the finest ingredients with freshly delivered ingredients served with our fantastic freshly ground coffee.
At Monty's we don't dictate your wrap to you, we believe your favourite fillings should be your choice. That's why our menu trusts you to choose what goes in your dream wrap.
Our freshly ground coffee is second to none, made in our award winning Victoria Arduino Italian made coffee machine leaves every coffee lover satisfied. Our selection of global blends of Tea will refresh tea lovers too. For all the fresh juice fans we provide all unique selection of juices which you will not find in other places in town.
We don't just craft wraps, we also do desserts. Be it a chocolate brownies, a Waffle, an Ice Cream or a Cake, we have the right dessert for you. All freshly made onsite or sourced locally.
Monty's is a homage to John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich. It is said that in approx. 1762, he asked for meat to be served between slices of bread, to avoid interrupting a gambling game. This story may have been rumour or adverse propaganda, put about by his rivals. But soon people may have started ordering “the same as Sandwich”, and the name stuck!
We at Monty's are an ethical business, our founders believe in and run charities who only operate in the local community and tackle local issues. As such Monty's operates a zero waste policy, all unsold foods are distributed to the homeless and those in poverty in Reading. Food Poverty is a crime and we believe in a society that never accepts it to be the norm'.
We urge all our customers to become patrons of our sister charity. Sadaka (www. mysadaka. co. uk), this is a local charity which promotes and highlights the homeless and poverty issues in our local community, they run a weekly feeding kitchen that currently delivers over 100 meals every week. They also support the homeless and those in poverty to improve their situations and return to a life that we all deserve.
