Here to serve…. . Our motto ! ! We’re passionate about what we do and how we do it. We were fed up of looking at the sea of ‘white vans’ at catered events and decided to do something about it, throwing our own flavour to a popular theme. Monty’s Field Kitchen is (very loosely) based on the old field kitchens that were used to feed the troops up near the front line. We’ve taken that theme to present our Pickwicks Jacket Potato Oven that can bake 240 tasty jacket potatoes in one sitting.

We’re also particular about how we look after things behind the scenes (away from the front line) and we’re very proud to be the recipients of a maximum 5 star food hygiene rating from those very nice people at the Oxfordshire Environmental Health Team.

Talking of the environment, Monty likes to do his bit, so we only use cardboard packaging and hot drink containers and ‘Compost Me’ wooden knives, forks and spoons. If you get out of bed early enough (after reveille but before the lunchtime rush), you can try one of our belly busting ‘Full Monty’ breakfast baps with bacon, sausage, egg and mushrooms or the healthier ‘Monty’s Ration Pack’ presented in a paper sack and containing a pot of Quakers Porridge, an Alpen Breakfast Bar, a bottle of Orange and a hot drink of your choice (tea, coffee or hot chocolate). van3

We’ve mounted a bell to the hatch, as we like to announce when our spuds are ready to rock and roll so ‘When you hear that bell…. . Run like Hell’ and come and try one of our tasty jacket potatoes with a variety of hot and cold fillings. We can also bake or cook a variety of foods (pies, pizza, lasagne…. the list goes on! ) if you would like to hire us for an event. Of course, we are more than happy to cater for private events (subject to a minimum number or cost) and will happily discuss what you would like and how you’d like it.
