Moor Magazine was initially launched in 2010, when two Heatonians with big ideas put their heads together. They created a publication that represented the pride, potential and diversity that The Four Heatons are all about. With hundreds of small businesses both new and old in the area, the concept was to encourage locals to shop on their doorstep and support these fabulous enterprises, instead of trekking over to large shopping centres (or online). With a focus on locally sourced goods, services and skills, the magazine has helped businesses boom, as well as reconnecting a sense of community in an area with a thirst for local news. Our team have now grown to a powerful combination of writers, creatives and commercial agents. We would like to thank the several volunteers who provide stories and photography as well as those local businesses who've shown such loyalty over the years. You've all helped us achieve a quality of product that is above and beyond any local magazine. We hope you agree!
