Founded in 2012 by 5 time international amateur boxing champion Carlos Moreno, with the goal of teaching proper boxing training techniques to regular people (non-athletes). After working in a few boxing gyms Carlos noticed that they were not offering a
complete boxing training experience but were instead offering a ‘watered down’ version of boxing, known as boxercise.

Despite there being a large demand for a proper technical boxing training experience, he found that a lot of people were leaving the gym feeling unsatisfied with what they were being taught: poor technique. As they were not competitive athletes the trainers assumed that these gym goers were satisfied learning incorrect technique as long as they got a good sweat.

Moreno Boxing was one of the first gyms in London to change all of this and start offering high quality expert boxing tuition to people of all levels and abilities. The journey was arduous and initially we were offering group classes in the local parks, church halls and community centres, where sometimes the rain and snow would make it difficult to train but our clients never complained. Now we own a fully fledged and well equipped boxing gym in the heart of Dalston which has been growing rapidly over the past few months to become a real contender in the industry, working with brands such as Puma, RDX and celebrity clients like rapper Professor Green and model Camilla Mackintosh.
