Today was my first experience and wow! was just planning on getting something for my little boy as I'm on a diet only to find out they do a slimming world breakfast and it was delicious. Extremely friendly and helpful service will definitely be returning.

Never disappointed. Always very nice 'Home Cooked' food at reasonable prices. The bacon cheeseburger I had today is one of the best I have eaten. I have also tried your home baked pies, roasts and other meals. Always top-quality ingredients, cooked well. Unusually for me, I can't think of anything negative to add :)

Mortimers has been a long standing family favourite restaurant of ours. It has delicious home-style cooking with a welcoming atmosphere and a range of meals to suit everyone's palette. The cottage pie is particularly amazing, along with their Sunday roast and cauliflower cheese. Simply one of Herne Bay's hidden gems of the high street.

Me and my boyfriend eat here whenever we’re in Herne Bay. Lovely, welcoming staff and homely atmosphere. Food is delicious too.

I've been going to this restaurant for 10 years and never been able to fault it. The food is all home made and excellent, the desserts are to die for! The staff are very friendly and are willing to cater for any special dietary needs. Yesterday was the last time I shall be visiting the restaurant as I am moving away from the area and I shall so miss it.

I wish I could award Mortimers more than 5 stars. We visited there again today, ordering roast chicken dinners. These were served piping hot with loads of delicious vegetables by a lovely jovial, friendly lady called Chloë. Can't wait to visit again.

Also do a Collect on Christmas Eve Plated Christmas Dinner to reheat on Christmas Day. £10. Really popular for people alone on Christmas Day. A fantastic service to offer. Just book and give them a plate.

A superb Mother's Day lunch, which both our elderly Mums enjoyed. All home cooked and served by friendly staff. A lovely thought was the bunch of flowers and little gift for all the ladies. Reasonably priced and well worth a trip to Herne Bay on a disappointingly cold day. Will recommend to others and return ourselves - hopefully in warmer weather next time.
