Can’t fault the breakfast, really good value at £8.99 total bill for 1 adult and 2 kids, decent cooked full English each including drinks. been a couple of times now and would highly recommend. Thankyou

User

User

Been again tonight cannot fault the service we received. Friendly staff, catering for our Layla allergies no problem, excellent tasty food cooked to perfection will definitely be returning thanks to Caitlin, Charmaine, chef and other manager (sorry forgot name) for accommodating us.

User

our first visit was a pleasant experience, the service from emna was friendly and courteous.

i thought my crispy chicken melt was very tasty but the wife thought her salmon was a bit overpriced.

the location dining area was comfortable and light&airy and not too crowded.

I visited this Beefeater on May Bank Holiday Monday with my mum. It was our first time at this Beefeater. We had a 33% off food voucher, which was good. We saved around £14 on our bill. The food was delicious. However, the waitress kept chatting to a few visitors that she must have known, whilst we were trying to get her attention so that we could pay the bill. In the end we went to the bar to pay as she never came over. Overall, a nice place to eat. Just that one staff member who seemed more interested in chatting than doing her job.

User

I just popped in for a beer. They had BrewDog's Punk IPA and Kingpin available in bottles so I was happy. I wad served quickly and with a smile. Comfortable bar seating. A bit grubby - could have done with a bit of a vacuum and wipe down but overall I was glad I popped in.

User

Came for a main meal when it first opened and wasn't really impressed however have been twice in the past month for breakfast and it was excellent couldn't fault it would definitely try again for a main meal

User

My burger was nice enough. However, ordered medium to well done sirloin steak for my Wife and it was blue towards the end of it. The steak wasn't one thickness which is odd for sirloin. Told the staff who spoke to the kitchen and offered a free drink for my wife.

The staff were lovely but I think the need a new butcher and chef

User

Food was pretty average. Bacon was not crispy as described so left it. Served by Emma, who was lovely and prompt with her service. Toilets were the most disappointing. Lights went off before I’d finished . Think I’ll go elsewhere from now on.

User

Have been away with work and stayed in the premier inn for three nights.. the service from one young lady in particular was dreadful. We were a group of young people clearly away from home and got spoken to in a way I would never dream to speak to anyone. We got sat down at a table then very rudely TOLD to move to another one. Starters and sides all came out at wrong times with mains etc and we were made to feel like an inconvenience with the vouchers we had had provided for our meal allowances. Next time I will be opting out of the meals and going elsewhere as we come to Darlington for work purposes an awful lot!

User

Well what can I say. I went with my Mother, Nana, Grandad, Uncle and Auntie for a nice birthday/ Mother’s Day lunch as it is my Nana’s birthday on Mother’s Day. We all ordered and I being a vegetarian ordered the sweet potato and feta lasagna. All our meals came and we started eating. Mine was quite hot and I couldn’t really taste anything but hot cheese, I was chewing thinking this doesn’t feel like sweet potato and I can’t taste the normally strong taste that comes with feta. I decided to cut up my lasagna to cook it down and explore my meal.

Then to my horror I noticed mince and no sign of potato or feta. I have been a vegetarian for around 6 years now and I was utterly disgusted, I turned to my mum and said I feel sick when my mum asked why I pointed to my meal and said it’s meat. My uncle then enquired as to what was wrong and when told he like my mother were appalled. We flagged down the waitress and told her she then went to talk to the manager.

After checking the till and taking my plate away they returned saying that the chef put the wrong tray in the oven because of some mix up with the new system. In fairness to them the manager did apologise, offer free drinks and desserts and refunded the bill, but honestly doesn’t really help much as myself and the rest of the party didn’t particularly want to eat anything else from them.

I feel ill as well as feeling disgusted. 6 years of not eating meat and I was lied to and in a way tricked into eating something my body isn’t used to, essentially poisoning me.

It’s safe to say I will never step foot in this or any beefeater establishments ever again!

User

Well never again will i go to the beefeater for a meal

Cost me £50 for the smallest meals ive ever seen i dont expect an all u can eat buffet and i know chips are free refils but my chicken looked like a hgv ran over it

The high chair spring for the locking pin was broke and had uncoiled sticking out the chair and sharp end hooked into my toddlers clothing manager apologized but didnt seem overly bothered

No sooner had we finished our deserts we were handed the bill and woman hung about till we paid it basically making us feel like we were rushed out the door

Very disappointed

User

Very disappointed! We have been for Mother's day breakfast for the last five years and never needed to book previously. We arrived today and they were very busy but we were happy to wait until a table became available or sit in the bar area. Unfortunately, a female staff member shouted at us from one of the areas and told us there was no room if we hadn't booked, whilst shrugging her shoulders at us. She then walked off as I tried to say we were happy to wait or sit in the bar area. Not impressed with her attitude or behaviour. I felt completely humiliated! Not the way a customer should be spoken to any day of the week, let alone on a special occasion, despite how stressed she may or may not have been. Bitterly disappointed :(

User

Took the family (5 adults & 2 children) for Christmas lunch as we are split around the country. I have to say it was absolutely disgusting- couldn’t tell the difference between roast potatoes and roast parsnips, the green veg was mixed edamame beans, sprouts and broccoli that was had but burnt, the frozen Yorkshire pudding was rock hard. I went hungry as it was so bad I couldn’t eat it! Complained and got a bottle of proseco no where near enough should have not paid but the payment was made weeks in advance that was convenient!

User

The steak was absolutely terrible there was more fat than steak had it changed once and another came out and was just as bad, I was given a full refund after the manger had argued that it’s ment to be like that I suggest that you learn about your beef before you argue that it’s ment to have more fat than meat I will not be back and to top it off they gave me an old pound coin in change then told me that it hadn’t came from them and refused to take it back as it isn’t legal currency any more highly disappointed

User

First and last time I will visit here, meat was chewy on Sunday lunch, couldn't eat any of it, 5 year old grandson even said this dosent taste very good, he had the beef burger, he left all the French fries, staff to be honest couldn't of cared less, and at 10 pound for Sunday lunch, could of been offered a partial refund, should have a good 1st impression when visiting somewhere, but unfortunately we didn't and wouldn't return

Been again tonight cannot fault the service we received. Friendly staff, catering for our Layla allergies no problem, excellent tasty food cooked to perfection will definitely be returning thanks to Caitlin, Charmaine, chef and other manager (sorry forgot name) for accommodating us.

User

I visited this Beefeater on May Bank Holiday Monday with my mum. It was our first time at this Beefeater. We had a 33% off food voucher, which was good. We saved around £14 on our bill. The food was delicious. However, the waitress kept chatting to a few visitors that she must have known, whilst we were trying to get her attention so that we could pay the bill. In the end we went to the bar to pay as she never came over. Overall, a nice place to eat. Just that one staff member who seemed more interested in chatting than doing her job.
