Many new vehicles use comprehensive electronic control units (ECU) for supervising ABS (anti lock braking) and electronic stability control (ESC, ESP) systems amongst others. The software controlling these systems frequently requires re-programming following the fitment of a towbar.

Mota-Bars use the latest diagnostic tools and software to re-code the vehicles ECU to the manufacturers recommended specification, (identical to a dealer installation).
