Motel One Newcastle

What a little gem! I wasn't aware of this hotel tucked away on a side street in Central Newcastle until a friend told me about it but I will definitely stay here again. The architecture, design and atmosphere are fabulous, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms-although quite small are clean, functional and have everything you need for a short break (I loved the fire screen on the TV which comes on when you go into your room) .the hotel is busy, vibrant and popular. I loved sitting in the bar at 12am drinking a hot chocolate and watching the world go by. I was a little concerned about noise as there was a stag party and lots of younger people in when I was there but , I have to, say I slept well. Only down side was the lack of cooked breakfast but there are numerous places less than 2 minutes walk ( recommend Blakes on the corner) if that's what you want. I am going to. Berlin in 2 weeks- I wish I had known about these hotels sooner as I would have booked to stay there - maybe next time.

Very very good hotel , great check in experience, good room , fast Wi-fi , great bed and superb shower ! Didn’t try the breakfast as I was out early to work , but looked good when I walked past , not often I give a 9/10 but this is one of those occasions , well done motel one !

Upon arrival we we're blown away at how stylish the hotel was. The check in was effortless by well trained and efficient staff. The room was very nice and the bed and pillows were 1st class, which led to a lovely nights kip. On checking in the girl at reception told us they were dog friendly:- something I didn't expect from a hotel as nice. Something we will remember next time we're in the toon with our pooches. Well done you guys��

Stayed here last night for the first time and I was blown away with how great this hotel is. Hotel is trendy, clean, in a great location, great price, rooms spacious but best of all the staff were friendly and helpful making this the place to stay in when in Newcastle. We will definitely be back �

Stayed here for my hen party this weekend absolutely gorgeous hotel from staff to rooms. An hidden delight highly recommended we will be back. Thank you for making our stay so good xxx

Stayed here Saturday night for the Ed Sheeran concert and we can't wait to come back. Lovely little rooms with the best pillows we have ever slept on! The reception, lounge and bar areas are very welcoming and modern and the staff are excellent. Also couldn't ask for a better location. Thanks for a fab stay!

Staff are fantastic booked the wrong weekend when we got there they transferred it over!

So easy to get to, we parked at ncp carliol street for £7 weekend special and it was only couple minutes walk to hotel. Very well situated for shopping and restaurants and bars, modern comfortable interior friendly staff simple continental breakfast hot shower bed comfortable but small room.

Many thanks for a very pleasurable stay, the decor of the reception and bar area was first class, staff lovely, room clean and comfortable, all at a very reasonable cost. We will be back and look forward to the Glasgow Motel One opening this year.

Just home from a fantastic stay here, new, modern, immaculate, stunning, spotless little spot, very central and really friendly staff. Will deffo be back.

I only popped in for a drink its beautiful so modern

I booked this hotel months in advance for the Ed Sheeran concert in June as I had seen it was a good location and good reviews. I can honestly the location was far better than I had imagined very central literally 5 mins walk from everywhere. The staff are lovely, beds were very comfy and the garden area is great to relax with a wine or Juice! I would highly recommend!

Down for a weekend break loved it from the moment you step into the lobby it's something special staff were gr8 situated right in the centre so everything is a short walk away shower was gr8 and the tv with the wee fish was quite relaxing would definitely stay and would and have recommend it to friends.

Booked this hotel for the convenience of where it was situated and wasn't holding out much hope due to it being called a Motel and secondly due to the price I paid.



How wrong was I...... when you walk up to the hotel it is located in a cobbled side road with lots of trendy bars surrounding it, as you walk through the front door it's hard not to be taken aback with the exposed brick ceiling and the trendy reception and bar area.



I am used to staying in Crowne Plazza, Holiday Inn and premier Inn but from now on I will be looking out for this chain as even though the rooms are only £59 per night they are extremely comfy, the one I had was a Kingsize Bed with Big Comfy Pillows.

Bit of a hidden gem this one. It’s never come up before In my searches for hotels in Newcastle. This was booked by a friend in a group booking for a birthday night out and I wasn’t disappointed. The entrance and reception area were lovely and the room just what we needed. Clean and tidy and a comfy bed with the best pillows ever. Will definitely be back.

Been in Motel One Manchester prior to Booking Newcastle. Didn't disappoint. Lovely hotels, clean modern, compact but everything you need. Ideal location in Newcastle centre. Perfect stay def recommend

Beautiful hotel clean friendly staff, clean towels every day and clean room and bed made, the snacks are ample if peckish and the bar is great, outdoor seating, and a lift to all floors, first class service would recommend motel is the hotel to be in on holiday in newcastle I thank Carla, luan, and Cameron for their friendliness and help thank you very much for the warm welcome x
