Hello, I’m Gemma, a midwife and mum to 2 little boys.

I am committed to supporting women and their families through pregnancy to parenthood and I understand the raw vulnerability and transformation that occurs during this time. My passion lies in listening to families and developing maternity services to provide excellent, considerate care. ​

I’m an experienced and compassionate practitioner who is dedicated to helping women achieve a positive pregnancy and birth. Since gaining a first-class honours degree in Midwifery I have worked in many maternity care settings and have previously specialised in diabetes, homebirth and bereavement care.

Over the last 15 years I have endeavoured to improve maternity services. I have presented my work at the European Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and been bestowed with the Iolanthe Award, Ann Stewart Award and an Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of my efforts within the NHS.

A special interest in holistic care led me to undertake further training in complementary therapies; including aromatherapy, reflexology, massage and acupuncture. I now combine my midwifery knowledge with my complementary therapy skills to nurture and sustain women, relieving discomfort and enhancing their experience of pregnancy and birth.

​I am regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have full insurance and valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
