Motivated-Minds Description

Our approach draws upon coaching techniques and positive psychology's emphasis of individual strengths and personal motivation. Our aim is to promote both physical and mental health, as well as achievement and fulfillment.

We work in partnership with businesses, schools and the third sector to create and deliver programmes that will make a positive impact not only to the individual but also the the environment they work /live /learn in.

We also operate a wellbeing hub based in Basildon, Essex to support various communnity wellbeing programmes.

Make sure the people you surround yourself with are operating on a positive frequency, if they're not make sure you limit your time with them so their negative energy doesn't become your vibe too.

Never quit. It might be hard, but it's worth it. #Grit

User

Good morning you beautiful lot.
We've all seen a few challenges in our time, just remember they don't have to hold us back. Have hope, stay focused and overcome them.

User

Good morning lovelies.
Have an awesome Wednesday.

Good morning you gorgeous bunch. Don't waste today, every minute find a blessing, make someone smile and build up the self love bank.
If you're in or around Basildon we're at Laindon this morning for some therapeutic arts & crafts. You can bring the kids too.
If you're under 18 you might fancy our Well Youth Club tonight opposite Toys R Us from 6pm.

We love running our Well Kids clubs. Our Monday one is kindly funded by Swan Housing Association.
We do things old school here with various arts, crafts, board games and today we had new puzzles. All to support the wellbeing of children 8 plus.
Our technology free clubs give children a calm space, that develops skills such as communication, concentration, perseverance and pride. We also run the club alongside Prosport Solutions who host the sport skills side to burn the nev...er ending energies and again to build confidence, skills and improve physical fitness.
To find out more about out Monday club (5 til 7 at Beechwood Community Centre, Craylands) or any of our others please call Carla on 07846 209 846

Somewhere, not in the to distant future we want to offer a provision to young people who struggle in main stream due to their mental health. We want to educate for wellness as a priority. If you're interested in finding out more, or helping us achieve this get in touch.

How's your day going???

User

Good morning you gorgeous people!! Get you positive pants on and make today a great day.
We're at the hub this morning with therapeutic arts and crafts from 10am. If you've got you're little ones with you don't worry we have a craft table for them too.

User

Who thinks at our Mind Craft sessions we should start making shoe box rooms, then put them all together to create a house and donate them to children. My nan built me the most amazing dolls house when I was little, and this just reminded me of that. It would be so nice to light up a little ones face.

User

This is just amazing. 😁😁😁

User

Perception is a funny thing, how one person can see something and the other person be convinced they see another. We cannot win this war, it's better to accept that and agree to move forward rather than keep an arguement going.
Ask yourself is it really important if your right??

Went to a confidence course this evening for pre teens and it was fantastic. My 9 year old loved it and it sparked some frank conversations on the way home about self image. Well definitely be back. Thanks Carla x

Through motivated minds we had a great day out with some lovely people seeing countryside we hadn't seen before. Knowing that donations are used to benefit others was another reason why we'll be seeing more of Carla Andrews and her team. If only the world was full of people like we found here.

This organisation popped up in my Facebook feed this morning and I persuaded my son, who is suffering with mental health issues to go with me for a chat and a cuppa with Carla. We had a lovely relaxed chat and it was lovely seeing my son smile. He was a different person when we were going home in the car, he hasn’t been confident enough to go out lately but he went with a mate this afternoon to have his hair cut and then he went out for a meal with his auntie this evening. He’s pretty shattered now but we are all so pleased with how he’s been today. I think it will really benefit him to visit the centre, learn coping strategies and take part in some of the activities, and us as well. I feel better myself just knowing we can all get some help and advice on mental health. We all know he has a long journey ahead of him but he said this evening he feels happier than he has for a long while which is wonderful.

The work is absolutely amazing! I met the founder a few years back when I was in a dark place, such amazing work and great ideas. Happy to help share and do anything!

User

My son has been attending for the last few weeks and all I can say is WOW what a difference, he looks forwards to his Friday nights and weekends are no longer a constant battle between us all. He can actually calm himself and listen to us and have a reasoned discussion about what needs to be done rather than stomping off upstairs (our doors are loving it too!). Thank you so much Carla, you’ve given us family time back again !

My daughter went to the youth club for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. It was such a relief as she is extremely shy, she finds social/group situations extremely hard. After speaking with Carla she assured me that the group would be just the place for my daughter and I agree. She went again last night and came home happy and relaxed. Thank you Carla , the children are very lucky to have this facility xx

Just to add she went on her own and knew no one there. Big achievement x

User

Just been here with my 20 month old and 4.5 year old. There wasn’t many other children so we had most of the activities to ourselves, it was good fun. My 4.5yr old has been entertained for 2hrs for £3. He is normally very shy but settled quickly. Lots of arts and crafts for him to do. Tomorrow I think there will be more things laid out in the other room. We will be returning soon. Thanks Jo And Carla.

I volunteer at the Dropzone Youth club. It's a fantastic, safe place for kids to hang out, have fun and meet new people

User

I love going to bridge the gap on a Wednesday 4-6 mixing with people from younger and older generations hanging out and having dinner with them. It gets me out of the house and everyone very friendly

User

I had the most amazing time in Wales at the weekend thanks to Motivated Minds! I would never have thought about attempting something like this on my own, but I met an amazing group of people, and had a really unique experience thanks to #TeamMotivated. I’ve come back feeling refreshed and inspired; if you simply want food and a bed, book it independently, but if you want to boost your confidence, meet inspiring people, have support and guidance, and most importantly come home with a new zest for life, then book here! One of my favourite trips ever, can’t thank the team enough!

User

I had seen mentions of motivated minds' events on FB for a while and thought it looked great - I didn't suggest the well youth it to my son because I thought he'd turn me down - but this week I finally did and he agreed to go along and I'm so glad he did. Everyone was warm and welcoming - He had such a great time and was so happy I wish I'd asked him earlier- he can't wait to go again next week- Thanks Motivated Minds

I enjoyed a lovely spa day yesterday with the Motivated Minds team. A spa day is not something I would usually do and it took me a little while to let myself relax. I realised about half way through the day that it was actually a relief to have some time away from the usual busy stuff especially my phone. I love talking to Carla and Mel as their priorities, ambitions, plans and goals along with their personal stories and experiences are truly inspirational. I look forward to learning more about what motivated minds do and sharing experiences again in the future.
