What a fab little bar. Hidden away in an upstairs room above a pub. Limited space so hard to get in (you can book). Nice staff and very atmospheric. Slightly Victorian feel to the place. MASSIVE gin selection and lots of cocktails.
We had a great evening here. The staff were friendly, funny and extremely attentive, even at one point, posing for a selfie. Their selection of gin’s is unrivalled, and the cocktails are amazing. You won’t regret an evening here...
Visited The Parlour on Saturday Evening was excellent. We enjoyed the whole experience, its like stepping back in time. Staff very helpful with our choices and we were not rushed at all. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back
The best Martinez in London. Amazing atmosphere and the staff were top notch. There were so many types of Gin, and guys go to try the Gin Truffle. I’ll bring all my family here. Thank you so much, we’ll be back.
Mr Fogg’s is a knee’s up like no other... step back in time & indulge in the ye ole english atmosphere, while drinking ale and eating toad in the hole. What more can you ask for... oh yeah the Hokey Cokey! 🎉🍻💂🏼♂️
I'm not a regular gin drinker but this place (and the excellent guidance of Charlie) may have changed all that
Booked for many weeks and wasn’t disappointed when the time came around... lovely quirky and quaint little parlour, gorgeous cream cakes and cocktails, and a special extra one for my birthday too! Friendly staff and on the whole a lovely experience! Would definitely recommend for a special treat to all gin lovers 👍🏼
Absolutely amazing experience! The best staff, amazing decor and great food! Went for my best friends birthday and the staff made the experience amazing, topped off with a hand written birthday card! Trying to find an excuse to go again!!
A lot of fun! I realized that the staging makes sense because this pub is in the theater district(Covent Garden). The staff pulls it off well in terms of costume, service and amenities making the visit very enjoyable. I would definitely go again.
Nice little bar but I think their drinks are overpriced. I ve been to the upstairs before also as a friend gave me a voucher for Christmas. I think ,although a nice experience, the gin cream tea is not worth the £48.
Lovely quaint little place. Cakes were amazing. The cocktail choice could have been a better selection as I was expecting different flavoured gins made into cocktails rather than different makes. Never the less this didn't spoil our experience.
Had a really nice afternoon imbibing gin in different disguises!! Food was lovely, very Victorian as expected. Easy to get to by tube, even for me with dodgy knees! Would have been five stars if I had been given the Experience gift pack as per the virgin experience days paperwork!! Really lovely retirement present from my previous partners.
Great venue with really fun and polite staff. Only thing that could have been better is the speed of service as was slow getting drinks upstairs and downstairs. Despite this world definitely go back.
Great ambience, felt like we had gone back in time to Sherlock Holmes parlour. Staff attentive and gave good advice on which gin to choose for gin newbies like me, and they were spot on. Not cheap though and service charge included also - just for drinks.
Enjoyable afternoon and fantastic staff with good deal to teach you about the origins of GIN.A lovely atmosphere &!the cream tea was fabulous too although a lot more cream and jam for the scones would have been nice as this was a very tiny portion in comparison to the rest of the experience-well wort a visit
We were there this afternoon for the cream cakes and cocktail. The parlour was lovely and quaint. Attentive staff who were friendly
We enjoyed the cakes and cocktail but the shocker came when we were leaving and asked to pay £79.45 when we thought we had paid £48 on booking. We had expected to pay for the second cocktail we had consumed but at no point would we have done this if we knew they were going to be £14 each!!
To add insult to injury there was also a 12.5% service charge added onto our bill
We felt embarrassed at being asked to pay this amount on departure - there was also another party there in the same situation as us being asked to pay a large bill
You need to make this clear on the booking confirmation on your website that the payment isn’t taken until you are actually at the premises
This spoiled what has been a lovely final day in London
Very strict timings - exactly one hour slot - then food and drinks didn’t arrive for over 15 minutes. Nice and quirky but unfortunately nothing to get too excited about.
The environment and staff were lovely and the entertainment and ambience great - the guy doing the gin bit was absolutely fabulous! However, one of our party was vegetarian (booked with prior knowledge) and had to wait a considerable while after the rest of us were served for some chutney sandwiches and a pitiful amount of jam and cream to go with the shop bought scone. That aspect was very disappointing. Also the table next to us were gluten free and veggie and waited even longer. Not acceptable in this day and age - a re-think of the menu is needed.
It's not all that.....quirky but small and pricey. We have a gin palace in Leighton buzzard which puts Mr Boggs to shame. The gin I asked for they didn't have and the selection was small. However the service was friendly and it was different to most London pubs.....
