Went here yesterday for breakfast - the food was so amazing! My sister and I loved it so much we took our dad back the next day for lunch! The food was again wonderful! Both time we sat outside in the courtyard, which was really relaxing and our waitress was great! Will definitely be coming back here!
Visited for the first time today with my mum and sister for afternoon tea.
We had the sandwiches, cakes, macaroons and scones.
Food was lovely and gorgeously presented.
Will definitely be returning
Really friendly service and superb home made food. No tiny portions either!
My experience at Mrs Bridges is one of excellence, always lovely happy staff who attend you every need, but most of all the food is stunning.
Well done keep up the great work xx
Lovely little tearoom, I only went in for a sandwich but it was the best sandwich I've had! Everything was so well presented. This place is a 25 minute drive away from me but I will definitely be back. The staff were friendly, welcoming and conscientious.
Lovely little tea room, almost feel like your stepping back in time, we have been here many times over the years for breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea, wonderful service & lovely food! Definitely our favourite place to eat 🥗🍲☕️😊
It’s the first time I’ve been and it certainly won’t be the last.
Best sandwich in Leicester!
Ps. To the waitress rocking the dreadlocks - love it.
I love this place!! The French toast with bacon & maple syrup is my absolute favourite!!
I absolutely love this tea room and regularly eat here when I’m town. My favourite by far is the hot beef and Stilton sour dough sandwich with chutney. Always catered for and a great selection for children too. I recently came with my mum and she had the cheese and potato pie which she was very impressed with. The salads are great too! I often recommend this place to friends!
Delicious afternoon tea and great choice of sandwiches. Would have preferred to put my own cream and jam on my scone but that was a very minor point.
Came in today for afternoon tea with my daughter and granddaughter wow was fantastic such good value for money we couldn't eat it all so you kindly wrapped the rest to take home, we will be back
Came for afternoon tea today with the family and it was wonderful, the sandwiches and cakes were lovely and we all enjoyed the food. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, we will definitely be back!
Booked a baby shower here today, absolutely loved it! Fantastic service, fantastic staff and fantastic food. Definitely recommended!
Best place to eat in town

Beautiful Breakfast!!! Fresh, tasty and good quality and portion!! Down to earth traditional tea rooms with a good selection of breakfasts, salads, sandwiches and cakes! Love that you can build your own meals without being seen as fussy. Great service too! My fav place to eat in Leicester!
After reading excellent reviews, we visited Mrs Bridges Tearooms yesterday for the first time for Afternoon Tea. What a fantastic experience! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The service was very friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious!! We will most definitely be returning and will recommend to anyone who will listen. 😃
Thank you so much!
I've been a customer of Mrs Bridges for many years and have, up to now, thoroughly enjoyed my visits and the lovely food. However, my daughter and I came for lunch last Saturday and were extremely disappointed to find that the current menu provided so few vegetarian options. The standard sandwich range did not include a single choice without meat or fish! A jacket potato was not what my vegetarian daughter had planned or looked forward to! We have always enjoyed coming to Mrs Bridges as we have always been sure of ample choice. Vegetarians are not an insignificant minority group and too many cafes and restaurants provide just a token suitable option that often feels like an afterthought (if they bother at all!). Please, Mrs Bridges, do not sideline some of your customers. The food we had was lovely but our enjoyment of the visit was marred. On top of that, we also had to wait around nearly half an hour for our food to arrive. Apparently a large party was already being dealt with when we arrived ... it just wasn't our day!
This place came so highly recommended to us so it easy very disappointing to find that we genuinely didn't like the food. Nearly everything on my plate was overcooked and under seasoned. I literally couldn't chew the ham on my plate.. I am glad others have had such a positive experience and hope that ours was just a one off, but I can't see myself returning any time soon. Very upsetting...
Having heard good things over the years about mrs bridges I was excited to see what wasn't offered. We had booked an afternoon tea, we ordered our afternoon tea, we were disappoint that that there were no plain scones available and had to have a fruit scone we ordered and drinks, when the drinks came out we had a dirty cup that needed to be changed, we had our side plates bought out one of these had a chip in that needed to be changed also. When the afternoon tea came the scones already had jam and cream on, I was really disappointed in this and as me and another memeber of our party didn't not like jam had to scrape the jam off, I have been for many afternoon teas and I have always been provided with cream and jam in separate pots to apply yourselves. We were always told when we received our afternoon tea that there were only 3 scones and we were told 'we owe you one' as we ate our afternoon tea it was about 20 minutes before we revived our other scone. To top it off when it bill came it was wrong and we had to question our bill to get it added up again to the correct amount. Overall I am very disappointed in the visit after looking forward to trying out mrs bridges for a few years.
