Muga Mushin Ryu Ju-Jitsu Hq Liverpool

Our club was founded in 2007 by Adam and myself , we wanted to break away from the norm and mix our training to enhance our style of Ju-Jitsu and teach students to think for themselves and not become clones, I personally think we have achieved this, with the diverse range of black belts that we have training at the academy.
Its now been eleven years since we broke away from one of the bigger organisations and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that have... supported us, especially senior grades who dedicate there time freely to support the club, without you we simply would not be here and for that we thank you 🙏
I think it's easy to forget and become complacent as we see the same people on a daily basis, those who can't attend work behind the scenes and support us the best way they can, arranging events, designing posters,certificates and forging links with other associations
I would like to remind all parents & students that theese lads volunteer, they do not take a wage for their time, some like Bob & Paul are in 3-4 days a week,.Bob not only teaches junior class but Adults and pads classes too
In 2019 we have big plans for the club, some of our classes are already maxed out, i am encouraging all our senior black belts .to teach from time to time, and showcase your skills, giving those who teach regularly a break a chance for them to train, even me,

Apologies for the late post, yesterday was our last Gradings to end the year and what a day
Seniors Our three ladies, Laurene, Emma & Laura absolutely smashed there blue belt exam showing that they had fire and passion to achieve there goals and not giving in when they became tired, a very well done to you ladies
... Juniors Kerry Allen poured her hear and soul into her Junior black belt exam pushing forward constantly,.determined not to give in evwn when stages of the exam became tough
young Ari went all out to show his knowledge of senior syllabus to became our first ever Junior to take his first tab In preparation To join the seniors next year
Kyu grades Our juniors work hard and would not be given the opportunity to grade if we didn't think they could pass there exam , so this year we had 14 young warriors wanting to prove there ability to the grading panel, and they did an amazing job, nerves disappeared once they were at the dojo with their friends, and they all showcased excellent etiquette, skill and higher grades proved that they can think on there feet and ramp up the intensity,

Really proud of everyone who graded today every single one of u went above and beyond what I expected I couldn’t ask for more.
I only had the pleasure to grade some of you today and the ones I did have the pleasure to grade totally blew me away. Laura Lucas Laurene Jones & Emma Jane you should be super proud of yourselves, I’m so pleased to have been a big part of your journey so far, all of you absolutely smashed it!! Kerry Allen massive congratulations to you on achieving... your junior black belt today, well done, hard work really does pay off.
I didn’t get to grade Sonny & Bailey today but from the feedback I’ve had today from Eido San Their grading couldn’t have gone any better, these two boys have worked so hard these past few weeks and everything I’ve taught them they have taken on board, well done boys.
I would also like to give a special mention to Ari Martin who earned his first senior tab today, you showed us what a real martial artist should be like, well earned and well deserved.
I’m immensely proud of all of you!!

Junior & Senior Jujitsu gradings 16/12/2018 - Mushin Honbu Dojo, Liverpool
What a fantastic day of Jujitsu gradings today. A massive well done to all the junior students who took their gradings, you done yourselves and your club proud.
... To amplify the achievements of the junior students we also had a Junior Black Belt grading and we are happy to congratulate Kerry Allen on successfully completing the grade. It was a long, difficult and tiring grading, but nothing truly worth having should ever come easy!
We also seen Junior Black Belt Ari Martin grade for his first tab on his black belt. We use the tab system to slowly inter grate the junior student into the senior classes, this gives them a taste of what is required to continue on their Jujitsu journey.
We also seen three exceptional senior blue belt gradings from Laurene Jones, Emma Allen and Laura Lucas. The girls can take pride in knowing that the gradings where some of the highest scored blue belt gradings the club has seen, they have undoubtably raised the bar for students coming through. Massive congratulations ladies, your commitment and dedication to Jujitsu has truly paid off.
So everyone who graded today, enjoy your grade, enjoy the feeling of passing but get ready to dig deep and push on with your journey, the next goal is always around the corner.

Brilliant class today covering Ne waza (ground techniques) Remember guys its important to focus on understanding the techniques with that understanding the technique will come naturally. listen closely to instruction. and try to break it down into stages rather than rush in.

Covering some movement and striking drills following the usual tough warmup for everyone sweating and thinking.
... Moving onto some good old fashioned Jujitsu adapting cross hock.

Trainers are brilliant, kids love them and are dedicated&enthusiastic to their chosen martial art/s.friendly atmosphere and welcoming to new members.

The training team at Team Mushin are incredibly friendly, totally inclusive to all students & unbelievably supportive. I highly recommend this club to anyone who is interested in martial arts.

My son and daughter enjoy every class they attend and are lucky to be taught by Master Sue King and her team who have a wealth of knowledge and patience, this is evident in how well they children are learning and how happy they are TO learn.

My daughter has gained so much confidence from going to Mushin. She loves going and Sue and the team demonstrate all of the fantastic qualities they embed in the kids. Courage, honor, compassion, respect and loyalty. Amazing place.

My daughter has been to a few classes now and has loved everyone one. She also does Ju Jitsu at another club and likes both but here they are teaching her more advanced techniques (Adult Syllabus) as well as having to think quickly in any situation which will help her if the worse happens. John and Sue are really good with her. Thinking of starting the beginners class myself.

My brother has been going here for years. He achieved black belt recently. This gym has been a second home for him for 5 years. This place deserves my reccomendation.

My 2 kids go here. Really great place with lovely staff.

I started training here around 14 months ago with Adam (head coach) .. sport and combat sambo 14 months later I’m still here week in and week out . Over the time Iv had some great opportunities to compete with the team and attended a seminar with some of the Russian national coaches . I honestly can’t talk highly enough of the quality of coaching my self and other members of the sambo team get from Adam every week - Adam is an extremely talented and knowledgable martial artist who leads from the front and puts his money we’re his mouth is so to speak .. I’d say to anyone considering trying sambo in the uk to make a journey to Liverpool and participate in sessions with Adam .. at 39 years old I’m doing something I could never of dreamed of doing at 25 years old so it’s never to late life

I found muga muchin ryu by accident,Sue is fantastic with the kids and it's like 1 big family the way everyone gets on,when I took my little girl,who was 7 or 8 at the time,she was having problems with bullying at school,the club helped not with showing her how to fight but how to deal with bullys,also gave her so much confidence in herself, I will be forever grateful.we would still be in the club but have moved to Cyprus
