About Mulu

Experience the best authentic Ethiopian culture and cuisine. . .

Mulu Description

Mulu is an authentic Ethiopian event where people are welcomed to explore the culture and cuisine of this fascinating country. With authentic food, imported coffee and traditional dance performance, this monthly event is the perfect way to experience one of the oldest cultures in the world.

Traditionally Ethiopians would all cook together and share their food served on a pancake (called an injera) in the middle of the table - although this would be nice a buffet works better here so you can help yourself to the range of 10 different courses.

Ethiopian cuisine is all about good food, great coffee, and having the best time with your friends whilst meeting others, so come along and experience something new…

After moving here in 2011, the organiser, Freh, wanted to recreate the traditional community events from her home town of Addis Ababa that she used to attend and organise with her mother, Mulu. Travelling back to Ethiopia regularly provides Freh the opportunity to import some of the finest ingredients including the fresh spices and best coffee beans. Have a look at her profile for more details of her travels and adventures.
