#TBT #ThrowbackThursday
Been looking back through some of our old posts and realising whilst some things have changed drastically (like us becoming a charity), some things really havenโ€™t! ...Maybe weโ€™ll get some men coming along to our Community Group, what do you think?!

User

We are REALLY excited to announce we have national lottery funding to run a community group for a year!!! This informal group is open to everyone affected by fertility, pregnancy and related loss. Please join us for the group launch on Wednesday 6th March to help raise awareness of how many people are affected by the issues we support and the group. . . and weekly for the rest of the year if you choose.

This group is open to EVERYBODY affected by fertility, pregnancy and related loss. Whether it is your experience personally or that of someone close to you, now or in the past. And, unfortunately, we don't think there's many people this won't include! The issues we work with are fairly common, what's not it seems, is talking about them openly. This is not a therapy or support group, and will not be run like one, it is an opportunity to come together informally in a safe space... where you all have shared experience and understand. Whether or not you chose to speak about your experiences whilst you are there is entirely up tp you, but there will be absolutely no obligation. The group will be facilitated by 2 qualified and experienced therapists, simply because they are the best people for the job and are best able to manage group dynamics, offer additional emotional support if necessary and manage any interactive tasks the group may request longer term.
We invite you all to join us for our launch night and spread the word, so we can help raise awareness of how many people are affected by the issues we support and of the group itself.
Longer term the group will be very active in deciding how exactly it is run. We envision potentially a very informal setting where people come along, get a drink and chat amongst themselves for maybe the first hour or so and then perhaps a short guided session on something by the groups request (managing stress, self care, etc), but this will be decided in time by the group members and if you'd like to become one you are very welcome.

Muma Nurture is currently recruiting: 2 paid counsellors to facilitate a support group 10 voluntary therapists 10 voluntary admin/support staff Both of these roles will be 4 hour per week commitment initially on a voluntary basis for one year with a view to securing funding once need has been proved and making them paid roles. In return we will give training in listening, Fertility, bereavement and specifically baby bereavement and provide supervision, support and expenses.... Please note due to conditions agreed with the charity commission ALL of our therapists must be qualified and therapies recognised by the charity commission and or CNHC, but there is flexibility regarding disciplines if you can show benefit to our client group. We also always need adhoc volunteers for events and suchlike and longer term the same training and opportunities will be rolled out to those too, as due to the nature of information divulged to our volunteers we want to ensure both groups needs are considered. There is further information on the website www.mumanurture.org/vacancies Please feel free to share with anybody who may be interested and Iโ€™m happy to answer any queries.

I really enjoyed my reflexology session and very interesting discussion with Victoria. She is very knwledgeable, empathic, straight-forward and down to earth. I had a great time and would highly recommend her for any of her physical treatments and counseling.

User

I had a course of hypnotherapy sessions with Victoria to help with stress & work life balance. I felt a bit silly to start with and giggled a lot! But Victoria was great and but the end of my sessions I felt relaxed and at ease. It definitely helped my stress levels and bought about change.

User

I attended an introduction to fertility course and it was great. Full of really interesting information and an opportunity to talk to someone who really listens and gives great advice. Thanks so much x
