This week in our baby classes we are SO lucky to be joined again by the wonderful Louisa from Louisa Bedford Photography who will be setting up her pop-up studio to capture some beautiful images of your gorgeous babies!
In Mummas Newborn we will be talking about Reflux and we will also have a go at some early baby massage techniques to combat colic as well as some reflexology for relief from both colic and reflux. ❤️
... In Music, Movement and Mess we are going on a journey into Space! We will be zooming off to the moon and meeting some aliens along the way. Then we will get super messy with some green jelly and glitter, so don't forget the towels! 💫🌎

❤️ Baby Basics Donation Station ❤️
The Mummas Bumps and Baby Show (grab your FREE tickets in the 'events' section) will be supporting the incredible charity 'Baby Basics'. Baby Basics provides much needed essentials and equipment to mothers and families who are unable to provide these items for themselves; including but not limited to teenage mums, people seeking asylum and women fleeing domestic abuse and trafficking.
At the show, there will be a 'Donation Station' where yo...u will have the opportunity to donate some much needed supplies to this fantastic cause.

We see it a lot during our classes and it says so much...
It's usually our clients 'realisation face', the "what if we hadn't done this class" face and the "I had no idea that was normal" face 😂
... We are super sensitive with how we deliver information, but we are honest and we cover the most common subjects that lots of mums wish they'd known more about before having had their babies: how to breathe, positions and movement for an active labour, partner techniques, labour bag hacks, how to settle a baby and SO much more! We hear it all the time: "I wish you were around when I had my babies" and "where were you guys when I had my first"....
We are laid back, and we support you to parent how you see fit whilst providing you with the most up-to-date and relevant information... we also provide you with cake, which is also very important!
Our classes are for everyone: first time Mummas, sixth time Mummas, single, same sex the list goes on...

Get totally ready for labour, birth and the 4th trimester with Sam (co-owner, midwife, antenatal & hypnobirthing Instructor and mum)...
Sam covers everything from how to identify labour and when to contact your midwife/hospital all the way to sleep safety, nappy changing, baby wearing and settling.
We pay close attention to the birth partner so they know what to do and what to expect.... This class is also perfect for meeting other expectant couples.

Here is the incredible birth story of our very own Claire from Mummas & Beans Haslemere who gave birth to twin boys unexpectedly early on Tuesday this week, vaginally (the first one breech)
... She is a complete warrior woman!

I do love a bit of rain, however this is slightly mad. It's JUNE 😬
But, I am getting some lovely snuggles in with my girl. I'm also realising that it won't be long before she won't be able to fit in my nook anymore whilst I'm carrying her around 😔 #broody

😴 Ultimate Birthing: Yoga & Hypnobirthing inspired class. Mummas-to-be only....
My new term starts this week! Sunday 16th June 6-7.30pm.
Learn how to "cope" and boss those contractions... you don't have to be an athlete and we certainly aren't contortionists, we teach you how to help your baby into the optimum position for birth, you'll come away with hints and tips each week, you'll learn how to use movement to help facilitate an efficient labour and you'll learn all about ...those 3 Magic Mummas Breaths so you can breathe your baby out. The session itself brings relief from those common pregnancy symptoms such as indigestion, pelvic and girdle pain, back pain and swelling.
WE PROVIDE THE MATS, all you need to do is throw on something comfy: I pop on some leggings and an oversized T, hair off your face and you're good to go.
We run out of a lovely village hall with loads of free parking. Suitable for all Mummas (1st or 6th timers!) £72 for 6 weeks, 10% off for subsequent blocks: start as early in your pregnancy as you like.

🦋🐛This Week!🍼🧁
This week we begin our exciting new term of baby classes in Canterbury!
🌸In Mummas Newborn, we will be getting to know all the new mummies and their babies. We will be focusing on the fourth trimester and sharing top tips on baby wearing, swaddling and managing expectations.... We will sit, chat, drink tea and eat cake!
🐞In Music, Movement and Messy Play we will be kicking off the term with some serious mess! Out theme this week will be 'A Bug's Life' and we will sing songs, find out 'What's in the Box?' and play some games. After this we will be getting down and dirty with some muddy worms in our messy area. Don't forget to bring spare clothes for your babies!!!

⭐️ We teach you all... ⭐️
This is a very special review from a very special couple.
This lovely pair are having their baby via a surrogate and were feeling so much emotion but they were particularly concerned about knowing what to "do". With Mumma-to-be attending the birth she wanted it to be a positive experience and not feel like she was in the way, saying the wrong things etc.
... It was important for me to explain the labour room from an observers perspective along with equipping Mumma with ways that she can support and encourage the labouring woman. The newborn baby care information was detailed and up to date so that they could enjoy their new baby confidently.
To see the worry lift and observe the sheer happiness and excitement was pure joy.
Thank you so much for allowing me into your home to teach you both..
