💥No joke💥....I accidentally picked up the phone last week (whilst wandering the streets of Hammersmith in my lunch break) and a lovely lady said, “hi there, I just want to let you know that Teresa May would like to give you an award”.......! Ummmmmm, WHAAAAT?! I just burst out laughing and said “that’s nuts 🥜, that’s nuts 🥜” on repeat! . . I feel so honoured to be receiving a ‘Points of Light Award’ - the award recognises people who are making a change in their community - th...e Prime Minister nominates one person/cause for each day of the year - www.pointsoflight.gov.uk. It’s not something that we asked for or put ourselves forward for (the Government Office ‘found us’), and compared to the other winners, we definitely don’t deserve it (don’t tell big T that though!). . . Today, 2nd August, is our Official Points of Light day. I’m celebrating by going into work 🤦‍♀️ (proper work) but I will have an extra spring in my step today - we’ve come so far in less than a year - it’s amazing what can be achieved when great, caring, passionate people get their heads together...how corny is that?!...on that note though, we are always looking for volunteers, mentors, nice people, smiley faces etc, so please join us if you want to help 🙏 . . 🥂cheers Teresa May PM.
