We went this Saturday night the food was absolutely delicious we had a shared platter to start with which was really nice meat and salad then we had a main to share with rice and the most amazing Peshwari naan it was really full of seeds and nuts and fruit and some nice mocktails too. Couldn't fault it

We have not called for a year or two but we were in the area so called in for lunch. Loved it. Couple of lovely dishes & best peshwari nan ever tasted ’┐Į

Today we were served by Amit who provided the most amazing customer service IŌĆÖve had in a long time. Nothing was too much at all for him, friendly, funny and polite. Amit kept us updated throughout our meal on the status of our order, making sure everything was to the highest standard.



Starters were delicious and Amit made sure there was plenty of mint sauce flowing along with lots of popadoms! The starters were efficiently cleared away, then Amit brought us a complementary sample of Mumtaz Mango lassi... heavenly and divine.. the best IŌĆÖve tasted.



Main courses soon arrived and we werenŌĆÖt disappointed, again, service on point!



No room for dessert but Amit amazed us further with a small treat of ice cream.. perfection.



Our visit to Mumtaz couldnŌĆÖt be faulted. But a special thank you to AMIT.. it wouldnŌĆÖt have been the same without you.

One of our regular trips over from Scarborough to get a wonderful meal as always. Great service, good atmosphere but it is the food you go for.

Lamb chops could & should have been bigger

Bhel puri was abit of a let down

But overall excellent & highly recommend

I had a brilliant date nite with my husband 5 star service,

the decor gives it a wonderful authentic feel to the place! its a magnificent place to really appreciate the traditional Indian/Pakistani cuisine. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection the meat just melts in your mouth, the mix grill was plentiful and tasty,

overall prices reflected on the quality and service were fair.

I myself thought the poppadoms were abit naff as they wasn't freshly made and was far to salty but that wouldn't put me off I'd simply not order them next time.

Don't pass by this place without a visit! It was superb! The food is stunning and the waiters were friendly and very helpful. Mocktails expensive at ┬Ż4.55 but they were delicious! The staff are on hand for your every need here and they serve your meal with a smile and a chat. It's a 5 star all the way from us!

O dear have wanted to go here for ages what a disappointment we went for a birthday and anniversary celebration and couldn't even have a glass of wine never mind champagne juice or water omg lovley people food ok have had better ’┐Įwould not return

It's ok, not value for money,

Lamb Karahi was good but not really value for money. Almost of equal quality like any other economic takeaway/restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is appealing, big investment.



Nan bread quality very poor which cost ┬Ż2.55 each! Not better than the NAANS 4/┬Ż

Starters are of .....not good.



Salad jut onions mixed with mint sauce from farm food!



I would like to say Mumtaz is more For status but not for quality food!



Will Never waste money and time again!

I used to sing the prays of this place to everyone but was not impressed last night yes the food was nice the waiter was friendly the decor was not like i remember it .it use to be so posh no better than some back street curry house now .

Everything was going well until we ordered desert. The apple crumble was not cooked properly, the crumble was like cookie dough, and the apples were still raw. When we told the waiter, he said he could waver the charge for the two apple crumbles, which was very nice of him to have offered to do that. But we decided to not let him do that, as we felt the waiter was very helpful and genuinely friendly. The mixed grill and condements were tasety. The new decore looked cozy and gave the place an authentic natural look. Overall it was good, but we were really disappointed with the desert.

Rip off. Not what it used to be back in the days. Waiters were apologetic but the guy on the till was miserable. Got my order wrong and seemed like they weren't bothered.

People, don't bother ever going to Mumtaz in Manchester, their lousy staff didn't take my vehicle reg in order to activate the pre-paid parking. I got A parking ticket in the post, told Mumtaz about it, I kept getting told such and such person will sort it, tonight I've asked for written confirmation that the charge has been waived and I get attitude in return. Then the woman got pissed off when I said I've been keeping a record of every single conversation I have had with them. You can keep your grilled halumi cheese starter, I'll go to Nando's and get my halumi fix!!

Masala fish was good but main course lamb curry was so poor worst curry I had, three months back I went to this restaurant everything was excellent

This time meat quality was so poor still carrying wasteful fat, which you would not put into your curry pan when cooking at home, curry powder tasted of raw under cooked,I asked to speak to manager without any jo, on my way out asked again at the counter and was told mr Mumtaz just popped out.

It was my birthday and I was excited to go here just me and my father, well what a disappointment it was. Had to call the waiter after half an hour of just being sat there to just order a starter. The group next to us left waiting like us. The funny thing is the restaurant wasn't even busy. Had a few families that is all. Then waited an hour before i called him to ask where the mains were. He bought one dish and forgets the karahi chicken dish ordered for my dad. Gave no salad I had to ask him even for napkins. After I pressed the useless waiter that we were still waiting on another main dish, he says he forgot started asking if we still wanted it. I had been in this place neatly 2 hours now with such poor service I said leave it not waiting any longer and now my dad had to share my main I was fuming. I have never known such crap service in my life. The waiter who was useless then says oh I forgot. But then comes to our table when I asked for the bill says oh I will cross it out for you and does so he had written it down clearly.



Ruined my birthday sat around in this restaurant like a forgotten peice. Never again would I go to this place on amy special event or ever now. Ruined my birthday with their crap service. You may aswell gp in there and just be sat waiting at a table. I should have gone elsewhere and next time I will.

DonŌĆÖt bother.... this used to be a good curry restaurant, it has really gone down hill.... I tried it tonight and walked out, I am now in AkbarŌĆÖs so so much better..!!

Day out in Bradford with a Birthday Meal to end the day. Normally not one to complain. Arrived at the Restaurant waited 10 mins to be seated with no member off staff to be seen.



A Table for 10 and we were seated with menus. Saturday afternoon with the Restaurant 3/4s empty 7 tables with only 2 staff/waiters serving. Orders taken waited 15 mins for starters. 2 starters arrived then 5 mins later childrenŌĆÖs meals arrived (kids are really hungry at this point). After 15 mins, mains arrived but we were still waiting for 3 starters that did not arrive.



Ordered lamb shank, got told 25 mins later itŌĆÖs out of stock. Ordered a Lamb Donner special as a starter did not arrive so we asked for this to be cancelled, after eating our mains and 2 other tables, also cancelled orders as the service was really slow.



Whilst waiting for food the kids were provided with colouring sheets and crossword to keep them entertained. At the bottom in clear writing ŌĆ£Prize: If you find all 20 foods(food search), you will receive a free ice cream at the end of you meal. Enjoy!ŌĆØ We asked the waiter we will take 2 ice creams in exchange for the crosswords. He looked bemused.



Waited 10 mins and still no Ice Cream we went and paid. Told the Manager on duty behind the till. No apology and no discount for the poor service. He turned around and goes ŌĆśwhat do you me to do, we are short of staff itŌĆÖs not my fault. Asked about the Ice Cream he goes donŌĆÖt know what you are on about?! Even showed him the paper.



Overall a bad Experience and will not recommend. Terrible service with poor management skills. It used to be great, now itŌĆÖs living off its past merits.
