Mumtaz

About Mumtaz

Welcome to the official Facebook page of the World Famous Mumtaz, providing you with traditional Kashmiri cuisine since 1979.

Mumtaz Description

The Mumtaz story began in 1979, when Mumtaz Khan, the eldest son of the Mumtaz Family opened a small shop just four metres square on Great Horton Road in Bradford, and quickly became famous for its authentic Kashmiri Cuisine.

Little did he know then, that from these humble beginnings it was to grow a multi-national food operation that spans the globe, with our flagship restaurant in Bradford.

All of this has been achieved by keeping faithful to Mumtaz Khan's original recipes and continuing to use the finest ingredient in all of our produce.

Mumtaz Khan, would have been proud to know that the seeds he planted all those years ago have grown to not only produce quality food but to also help others less fortunate than ourselves through the many charities we support worldwide.

When we say fresh, we mean fresh!

This is the second meal we have had there in the last few months. Had a really good veggie Khari (name spelt wrong). Other Indian restaurants have let themselves down, by using frozen/tinned veg, there is nothing worse than finding a frozen sprout in your veggie curry! This meal at the Mumtaz was totally fresh.

We had meal yesterday at Bfd branch 'meal was very nice but then we decided to have falooda 'honestly it was the worse I've ever had 'it was so thin liquid and the ice cream was frozen like ice u could taste the ice not the ice cream 'after complaining waiter tried to tell us this is how falooda is 'really we have eaten faloda hundreds of times 'not good I am afraid 😳 o star fr that !

User

The place is nice and quiet

The food is spicy and tender

The starters are much more delicious than the main course!

User

Mouthwatering food, delicious dessert - unfortunately just as we had started eating our dessert the waiter slapped the bill on the table!!

User

Very bad service food was not good I sped 50 on petrol then for food went from sheffield realey mumtaz is going down hill not good service even my familey got sick

User

The place was spectacular as alway ,however, the starters were full of salt which made an awful impression on my Chinese guests. The mains were just average. When one of my guests complained the dishes were to salty he was told the mix is pre mixed in the morning & we were the only ones to complain & the manager only admit it was over salty after he tried our starters , however, he still did nothing.

By the time the mains arrived we had filled ourselves on water due to the high salt content of the starter.

Very disappointed and far from the high standards I have come to expect from Mumtaz

User

Over priced and very small portions, lot better options not far from mumtaz,

They really need to sort something. .

User

Not what it used to be at all. Which is such a shame. This isn't my first time at Mumtaz and you can see how it has declined.

It has been redecorated but is now far too crowded and cramped. The service was slow and the food was not great. I ordered a pina colada and had to send it back as it tasted off.

The whole place feels like it needs some TLC. The toilets are messy and service all round isn't great.

Would be nice to see Mumtaz back at it's best. If the same effort was put into the service & food as it has been put into revamping the place, it could be a much better place to dine.

Food was really salty, service was poor, overpriced for small portions, last time I ever eat there.
