We tried Muriel's Kitchen (South Kensington) for the first time this evening, very enjoyable food but do think they have squeezed too many tables in, especially the poor people right next to the ladies toilet door!!
We arrived on a snowy evening yesterday, it felt warm & cosy in there.. the lasagne was really good & my husband said his Sheperds pie was tasty. We had a chocolate & pecan brownie which was delicious. Would go again
The food was fair and the service was good. The place is tiny and the seating is so close you can't move without touching someone. It was like trying to eat packed in a sardine can.
I arrived to see how the food was and yes the chef did a great job . If it wasn't for the food I would have said it's the worst service in terms of waiting time and the staff were not friendly . Manager mad me stand for 20 minutes after she said I was only going to wait 10 . I told her on arrival that I wanted a table for 2 and I was informed after waiting 20 minutes that my guest needs to be here in order for me to get a table for two . What kind of a service is that ? Just cause I'm not posh and wearing street clothing doesn't mean I'm not here to enjoy the place . Clearly after I said to here she should of informed me about the guest thing she then just ignored me as I said I've already been waiting long enough like 25 minutes . TBH the food is the only thing good �. It's always nice to be nice no matter what people look like and waiting 25 minutes after saying ten then being rude is not good service . Any way rant over and thanks to the chef . Shame I can't say the same for the front of house . Happy snow day y'all ! ���
