Museum Street Cafe

About Museum Street Cafe

The Museum Street Cafe has been producing vegetarian lunches in Ipswich since 2009.

Museum Street Cafe Description

Our food is cooked on the premises and lunch is served between 12 and 2. 30pm. The menu changes constantly, sometimes mid-service, depending on what's in season, on Nell's whims and on when we run out of a particular ingredient.

Our prices range from £4. 50 for a bowl of soup, chunk of bread and butter, with a green salad on the side, to £7. 30 for the more complicated dishes.

User

it is a wonderful establishment offering the most fantastic choice of proper meals and cake mmmmmhmmmmmmm cake dairy free; DARE you to try the food here without hesitating to admit veggie food can be alright

User

Winter cider stew was superb, full of flavor as was the walnut bread it was served with.

Great friendly staff & fair price - yum

User

This is my favourite place to have lunch with my mum on my annual trip 'home' to Ipswich. We ate there yesterday and the food was fab as usual. There is a variety of whole food vegetarian and vegan dishes, and GF options for mum. We eat meat at home, but come here because the food is better than anywhere else in the town centre.

User

The tastiest food on the street! Really yummy, healthy and worth every penny. Really helpful team there too x I love it

User

Such a lovely cafe! Great find for me as a vegetarian, but my non veggie husband loved it too. Great food, interesting choices, superb cake and friendly staff, what more could you want!

User

Such a joy to find this heavenly cafe that serves healthy real soul food. Great to see they change menu on regular basis as this is a place one would want to go to whenever in town. Had fabulous chickpea and cauliflour bake with carrot and coiander mayonaise and an Indian apple achar. Reminded me of some of the hippie restaurants you find in places like Copenhagen where soups and salads are very morish. The food is so tasty and interesting.

User

My favourite place in Ipswich for lunch. Excellent Stilton ploughman's. I can also recommend their lentil curry and super jacket potatoes. The choice of salads is fabulous.

User

Lovely cafe, and an amazing soya hot chocolate which is one of the only places in Ipswich where it is vegan! An amazing Dahl curry too! 😍

User

Lovely cafe and I regularly go back for the vegan al forno pasta..its amazing! The vegan hot chocolate is great too. Regularly visit this place and would recommend :)

User

Keep forgetting to review every time I visit! One of my favourite venues in Ipswich; I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I just love the fresh, homemade and delicious food on offer here! Such great customer service too. Highly recommended.

User

I heard that vegan options were on the menu so decided to pay a visit. I wasn't disappointed. I had a lovely meal at a price that didn't break the bank. Will definitely be visiting again the next time I'm in Ipswich.

User

I have to say after one of my regular visits that I have finally decided, this is my favourite place to eat in Ipswich town centre! Being vegetarian the food here definitely encourages me to go vegan! Great taste, excellent portion sizes and reasonable in price. Staff are welcoming and always help me with my indecisive mind to choose a fabulous lunch!

try their syrup and ginger cake

User

Highly recommend this cafe. Everything is suitable for vegetarians and there are also plenty of vegan options. Will definitely be going back next time I'm in Ipswich.

User

Has been a well established place for fab fresh and delicious home cooked food for some years now.

Today the coronation cauliflower salad was unbelievably brilliant and I am now an addict of it...

User

Great food, at very good prices. Best nutroast I've ever eating, and lovely polenta bake. Highly recommended.

User

Friendly, quick & always tasty - would love to see longer opening hours into the evenings maybe

User

Amazing food! The vegetable lasagne is really worth a try as is the cake! Polite and quick service especially from the young girl with red hair. Will definitely be returning :)

User

Well where do I start, service was so poor, the older lady serving needs a lesson in politeness and helpfulness, if a customer ask what is included in the "and more" ingredients how hard is it to explain. With so many people having intolerances these days I thought it would be second nature to explain. Would I go back No would I recommend No. Time for a change of staff believe. Shame the food was good. On a plus note The young girl serving my friend was great offering service as you would expect. Feel free to contact me if you want any more information on this rudeness. Many be it was a one off but reading other people's feed back I don't think so.
