Studies have shown that upbeat music is a positive stimulant for the brain and that our favourite songs trigger memories. Music Counts is a non-profit organisation, with North Lincolnshire Council, which brings personalised music through iPods to improve individuals quality of life. It's all about bringing joy into lives of people suffering from Alzheimer's, other forms of Dementia and a wide range of cognitive and physical impairments. The scheme will help people in both long-term and short-term care facilities in the local area and enable to benefit adults to live well for longer with maximum independence. It will encourage generations within communities to socialise more while developing skills and qualities which all will benefit from! We need your help! By donating any unwanted CD's or iPod's you will make a difference!
