Abdurrahman ibn ‘Awf was a very close companion of the Prophet ﷺ and a Muhajir (one who migrated from Makkah). When he got married in Madinah, it was so simple, even his close friend, companion and teacher (the Prophet ﷺ himself) wasn’t aware of it! Some days later, when he came to the Masjid, the Prophet asked him where he was and he told him he was away because he got married. Upon hearing that, the Prophet of Allaah, the most important person alive, didn’t get offended that he didn’t know or didn’t get invited.
