My Family First Aid Description

Hello, welcome to My Family First Aid, thank you for visiting our page.

Although many of us take appropriate steps to ensure that our home environments and situations are as safe as possible, accidents still happen at home, on holiday or during family /leisure time. Being prepared and able to respond confidently and calmly in the first few minutes after a loved one has an accident or develops a serious illness, can save their life and ensure that simple injuries do not become worse.

My Family First Aid hopes to make home environments and situations safer by helping you to become your family's First Aider.

Its National Weaning Day!
Many parents tell us they worry about weaning and although it is frightening to see, gagging is normal and is the body's way of protecting a child from choking and teaches them how to manage their food.
Have a look at this brilliant clip from The Baby Centre.... https://youtu.be/uRrbZuP-pjk

This recent article encourages people to learn First Aid and also importantly highlights that there are differences in adult and child / baby CPR. This is due to the differences in child and adult anatomy and the cause of the problem.
All of our sessions look at both adult and child / baby first aid, so if you are ever in a situation where you have to do CPR you will be prepared and can make it as effective as possible.
Well done Dad!
