The Youth with the vision

When examined closely the four core values of the vision of The Pentecostal Church of Mangembo (integrity, spirit of family, spirit of excellence, positive attitude) belong to three different elements of our young people’s lives: spiritual, educational and social.

Unquestionably, the spiritual dimension is the most important, because, as our pastor, Papa Augustin Mbona Ngenga always tells us: it is the spiritual realm that controls the physical realm. It is our young people’s spiritual condition which will ultimately determine their level of educational attainment and success in society. Hence the prophet Zechariah says:
“'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, ' says the LORD Almighty. ” (Zech 4: 6) Moreover, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself declares in John 15: 5: “without me you can do nothing. ” With Jesus at the foundation of their lives, however, the very opposite becomes true: our young people will be able to “do all things through Christ who strengthens” them. (Phil. 4: 13).

The Mission Statement

Therefore, working in line with the vision of our church, the MYC committee will strive to work with all the young people in the church so that they all understand the fundamental spiritual truth outlined above. The MYC committee aims to develop the four core values of our community in our young people by addressing and impacting – both actively and positively – the spiritual, educational and social elements of their lives.
