A sisters' day out (plus one stowaway), rounded off with some Top Secret research at Mystery Cube HQ! No idea what to expect but got stuck into the Mission straight away. Lots of good searching and excellent discussion and communication - in fact verbally virtually indistinguishable! Great team and lots of energy, reassuring each other about progress - no sibling rivalry! Signs are good! But... past the half way point the challenges got tougher and they started to work togeth...er more. As result, there was some confusion in methods and the pace slowed with lots still to do! Some urgency in final ten minutes and great solving under pressure. Into bonus time...and...sadly...four codes from escape. And no Wombles :-(
"Oh my GOD we're stuck in here!" "Let's have a cup of tea!" "They're going to be for a purpose..." "This is far too big, look at the size of yours!" "No, do this!" "Yes, yes, good girl!!" "This is so fab!" "I love it!" "It might be a bit wiggly..." "What've you got?" "This. Which is obviously that." "I think we've lost on organisation.." "Ahhh you ledge!" "Say it out loud and I'll tell you!"

Last minute additions doubled the brainpower of this family team - will it help? A high energy, busy start to the Mission. Good searching and solving, with lots of discussion. Everyone talking at the same time! Hopefully they manage to stay organised... Pace slowed as (most!) of the easier challenges were dealt with. Some key and code confusion and some items getting lost in the "done" pile! Come on, guys, you can do this! The Silent Serious One started to take charge after ...35 minutes and put some order into proceedings! Solid work on the major puzzles but time is passing rapidly! A crazy burst of activity and results in final 7 minutes and only two mysteries to decode... Into bonus time... Pressure! Two codes from escape. Bad luck, lovely people!
"I just found a spare pen!" "Hold on, I'll do this one." "YEEEEEESSSSS!" "Oi!" "You said right, I did left." "That's right!" "All the stuff here is evidence." "Guys... Guys... EVERYONE!" "Just hang it there and leave it!" "No, no, listen, it could be the opposite..." "Just try not to leak it!" "I already used that!"

Birthday Mission, a nice life or death Mission to work up the appetite for a "ruby" after - if they survive! Working together quite a lot and very relaxed workrate... A little bit competitive as well! Some really good solving - just need to be a bit more positive! And quicker! Faster in the final 15 minutes, really cracking on with the tasks - and bickering a bit! More good progress but into bonus time with two challenges to solve... Unlucky, ladies, just needed to be more ra...pid early on to give yourself time at the end! Three codes from escape.
"It's really cold!" "I can't do that one!" "It's freezing!" "I'm stuck!" "Chop chop!" "SHHHHHHH!" "No this thing - it's driving me bonkers!!" "Rude!" "The L Door."

Family and friends team with the last minute addition of a smart youngster to boost the average IQ. Pessimism before the Mission due to past escape room experiences, but they made a good start with some early success. However, although talking a lot, communication was not optimal and there was a lot of duplication where people were trying to solve mysteries that has already been done. Work-rate increased after first 15 minutes and again after 22 minutes following a breakthrou...gh by the young one whilst the adults agonised over a "simple" task! Back on track at the halfway point with a brief recap. More excellent solving but also some confusion! Into bonus time with two mysteries to solve... One done, one to go, but the final seconds of bonus time elapsed with no escape. Bad luck, Cubenauts! Such a lovely team, and the result did not do them justice!
"Dad dad try it there!" "Wait wait wait!" "We also have some kind of numbers.." "This is our timer.." "Woooaaahhh ok!!" "I wouldn't touch it, to be honest!" "I think everyone is running away from this one!" "In any order." "Oh, sh1t!"

A blazing start from these experienced escapers! Serious and focussed communication and a fast workrate! Many challenges solved but the pace slowed after 12 minutes. Everyone seemed to avoid/not notice a couple of crucial mysteries and this slowed progress. Persistent work on the harder tasks but some errors creeping in as the time passed. Great work meant only one task with 8 minutes left... And successfully solves with less than 4 minutes to spare! Escape time: 56m18s Well ...done!
"Oh I found the timer!" "It must mean something.." "I don't want to be wasting time." "You need to count them." "What about the mustard?" "Sweet, alright, done!" "Yes! Well done! Genius!" "I hope we have enough resources.." "Yes. Yes yes yes!" "I DID write it down!" "Nice, you dog, I gotcha!" "Shhhhhh!" "1234 - that is a deadly code." (Hmmm, really? said Prof QB.

Calm (tired) (hungover) duo and a gentle start to their Mission. A steady flow of discoveries but might need to speed up a bit so as to have time for the harder challenges that await them... Excellent discussion and analysis whilst still working separately to get through the plethora of tasks. A few basic errors cost precious minutes but still in with a good chance at the halfway stage... Superb work to get down to one mystery to solve with 4 minutes remaining. Into bonus tim...e, but the last code proved tricky! An excellent escape with one second of bonus time to go! Bravo!
"Oh ok cool, I get it.." "The only number that can be...is..a..Jeez..!" "No no no... Yeah!" "Do you have spots on the bottom?" "Ooh, interesting!" "MUPPET!!" "Ah HA!" "Oh genius!"

Birthday Mission with parental "supervision". No taking the back seat though, adults - your brain power will be required! A noisy, chatty start, a bit chaotic but lots of good results early on! And calming down a bit as the first ten minutes passed. However, progress was hampered by losing track of codes. The XY chromosome tried to add some order but to no avail. Great brainwork and solving skills but the frantic energy used up the time! Such a shame - lovely people - but tha...t's the risk of accepting a life or death Mission!
"I have no idea what to do?!" "Oh god, oh LOOK!" "Can I just ask everyone a question?" "So this is like quite impressive..." "Ok girls please be gentle with things, I know it's exciting..." "Oh gosh!" "This is like a Tardis.." "It doesn't work on here." "Just tell me when it does work."

Three feisty femmes, but maybe a little bit nervous before the Mission! But got into their stride quickly and made some really good early discoveries and solutions! Pace slowed after 15 minutes as the challenges got tougher- but they raised their game to match and kept going! Great teamwork! Final mysteries proved very tough and pushed them into bonus time. Two tasks remaining... One with one minute left! Only digit from escape! So close!
"Ah, here you go, that's where they g...o!" "Sorry sorry sorry!" "That's the thingy counting down.." "Ah.... Ah ha.... THIS!" "Sneaky sneaky!" "Between the thingy-bobs!" "Block that out, girls, it's mental." "I don't fr1ggin' know!" "Oh look at the time, I don't like it!"

What a great game! If you think the game only begins when you get into the cube - think again! From the moment we arrived we had to have our lateral and logical wits about us. We got out - but only just. Such inter-generational fun. A really good family thing to do. We all loved it!

User

We had a fantastic night at the Mystery Cube. This was an hour of fantastic family fun that tested our brains and abilities to work together and as individuals towards the Escape. This was our first escape room and it will be difficult to beat. We were still buzzing with excitement the day after. We were really impressed with everything, from Professor QB to each individual challenge.

We challenge our friends to see if they can manage what we came so close to... Escape!!

User

The non-linear aspect makes it way more challenging but also less prosaic.

The first challenge is finding the entrance, but then stay in that mindset as it only gets harder!

Can you beat the cube....?

User

Thank you so much to Professor QB for a fab morning in the Mystery cube. We had so much fun from the moment we arrived to the moment we failed to escape - so close! Great host and well thought out game and we even learnt a lot about the way we work together as a family. Would recommend to anyone!

User

Such fun evening had by our group of 4.

Highly recommend

User

So much fun 2 adults and a 14 year old and 11 year old - we were 2 codes from finishing - the hour flew by. It was our first escape room and we now have the bug can't wait to do more. Highly recommend this fun filled hour!!

User

Really good hard enough to be challenging but still possible to solve if unlike us you work fast enough!

Professor QB is very helpful with just the slightest hint of witty sarcasm!

User

Really enjoyed this escape room. My first escape room :)

User

Random location, we wasn’t sure we was in the correct place until we spotted the poster.

Great safety briefing and we was in! 6 of us it felt like chaos at first but we all got stuck in and without all 6 we would never have escaped! But we did - just! Was brilliant and would recommend to anyone who is up for something different to do! Only downside we wanted to roll straight into the bar but nothing near by, drove to Wimbledon for dinner

User

Quality puzzles, great host, brilliant backstory, world class escape room would recommend to all

User

Professor QB was very funny and gave this experience a personal touch which made it stand out from any other room escapes we have done before. The puzzles were cleverly done, luckily we escaped by just two of us! We especially liked the performance analysis he gave us at the end!

Highly recommended to anyone who wants something special and super fun!

User

It was my first escape game and I really wanted to try someday. I don't think we could have wished for a better first experience. Professor QB was great fun and his artwork, because it is really artwork, is very impressive. I recommend it to whoever may be considering trying!! Thanks and well done to @mysterycube

User

Had never done an escape room before, and this was an outstanding introduction! Good mix of simple and difficult tasks, and we were totally immersed. We didn't manage to get out but still had a blast! The guide was fun and the craftsmanship of the cube was so impressive. Couldn't recommend highly enough, well worth the trek to find!

User

Had an amazing time in the Mystery Cube. Thanks Miss Terry!

User

Great fun, an hour went so quickly!! Professor QB’s guidance through the vortex was very helpful!

User

Great escape room. Loads of codes to keep everyone occupied and challenged.

Lots of fun - especially as we escaped!,

User

First escape room that I've tried, and according to reviews, one of the best around. I want to try more escape rooms now, but probably will be hard to find one as good as this. Well done!

User

Awesome escape game! Fun and intelligent puzzles. Thorough briefing given by the funny host before starting the game. An hour very well spent! Would definitely recommend it to all escape game lovers!

User

A very cleverly designed escape room game. Plenty of things to do inside at the same time meaning that your team members can separately work on solving different parts of the puzzle. We (two of us) didn't escape within the alloted time - we probably needed a few minutes longer but that didn't matter to us as we had a great time! Thank you!
