Tarot De-Mystified The Tarot is a complex tool used in divination, with many misinterpretations. Therefore, through my series ‘Tarot De-Mystified’, I will attempt to explain it in simple terms that will correct some of the common misinterpretations. If you Google the word Tarot, you will probably come up with something like this "tarot is a powerful way of revealing the truth about your life"... and that is basically what it is. It can be used for guidance by the reader psychically connecting with the aura of the recipient, so that cards are drawn which have a relevance to the recipient’s life, and to a specific question if one has been asked. The tarot deck itself is traditionally 78 cards, divided into 2 groups called the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Minor Arcana comprises of 4 suits – batons (or wands), coins (or pentacles), cups and swords. The Major Arcana is 22 ‘Trump’ cards which depict symbolic characters that can be interpreted with different meanings dependent on perspective. It is with these fascinating cards that I am going to start the series.
