Come to our studio for 'Breathe Me Calm' sessions with Mel at 9am for 30mins! Yesterday, we wrote about the power of breathing. It is true! When we are tense, worried or stressed our body can get into a panicked state when breathing becomes short, shallow and irregular. Come learn how to help yourself and others breathe calm ❤❤❤ We suggest £5 for the session though you are welcome to donate what you please! Tag a friend and come together! 😊

One workshop we are running is with Osteopath, David Vaux! Following the success of the previous workshop, David is back with his 'Move To Improve - Pain Management' workshop 😊 David will run through with us what real pain is (and isn't)? Where does pain occur and what can we do? This introductory workshop will explore the latest research into how simple movements can unlock our ne...rvous system to work for you rather than against you. David developed the Move to Improve Method™ in 2015 to help those wanting to gain optimal performance from their nervous system to help improve pain, confidence and creativity.

What are your weekly plans on Mondays 6.30 - 7.30pm and Thursdays 5-6pm? 😉 At @mytimepilates we make well-being a priority, focussing on both physical and mental health. Mel has been running mindfulness at mytime for a few months now and the feedback has been wonderful! 😀 She runs the course for parents with their child / children as she believes the benefit is greater if both parties are practicing, and it's a wonderfully unifying thing to do together. The course she runs ...is for children aged 10 - 18, but parents are saying that they feel they are gaining from the course every bit as much as the children are. The course aims to help people: ▶️ To improve their concentration and focus, in classes, in exams and tests, on the sports field, when paying attention and listening to others. ▶️ To fulfil their potential and pursue their own goals e.g. be more creative, more relaxed, both academically and personally. ▶️ To experience greater well-being (e.g. feel happier, calmer, more fulfilled). ▶️ To work with difficult mental states such as anxious thoughts and low moods. ▶️ To cope with the everyday stresses and strains of adolescent life such as exams, relationships, sleep problems, family issues. Today, we are introducing you to the cheerful teacher, Hannah! 😀 Hannah first took up Pilates to help with post-baby recovery and improve her posture. Experiencing the benefits of Pilates led to a complete change in career, and she soon completed her Matwork certificati...on and Standing Pilates certification with the PhysicalMind Institute. Keen to expand her remit to include Barre Pilates, Hannah trained with world-renowned Tracey Mallett, successfully completing the booty barre; booty barre flex & flow; and barreless floor barre programmes, all of which she found complemented the skills she previously acquired in Pilates Matwork. Hannah has also attended workshops on pre-natal and post-natal Pilates, and her wide-ranging knowledge makes her a great asset to the team.

We're introducing you to the team this week at @mytimepilates 😊😀 Today, we're introducing you to the lovely Katya! Having previously worked as a fashion HR Manager, Katya retrained as a Pilates instructor following the birth of her three children, and joined the mytime team in 2018. Katya also spent ten years practicing equipment Pilates in Hong Kong and London before completing the Polestar Comprehensive Program in March 2018. Katya never fails to put a smile on our faces. ...A warm and welcoming lady, her challenging yet fun classes focus on breath and body awareness; finding efficiency in movement; and achieving optimum postural alignment. Katya’s aim is to help her clients improve their level of fitness and form, as well as reducing the risk of injury. Free spirit Katya – we call her that as her passion for teaching means she will often overrun for 10 minutes without realising! – is a real credit to our team as we are constantly told by our clients.

Having suffered from childhood asthma, Sharon’s first real foray into regular exercise was as client of mytime, when she first attended classes to relieve her back pain. Following a ...career in the oil industry, her passion for Pilates quickly grew, and, admiring Bea’s teaching technique, she went on to gain her own Polestar Matwork accreditation in September 2017. Sharon then completed the Comprehensive Pilates Program in September 2018, which has helped to increase her repertoire of movements to meet her clients’ ever-changing needs. She is now an invaluable part of the mytime team, and relentlessly pushes clients to work harder, although her reassuring smile means you can’t be cross with her! Constantly eager to increase her skillset, Sharon has recently attended workshops in pre-natal and post-natal Pilates, as well as the Franklin Method for a Healthy Spine, which helps to improve flexibility, balance and strength.

Institute. At this point, Jon also became a personal trainer, with the ultimate goal of boosting women’s self-confidence through exercise.
