Pony with laminitis. Fitted with imprint shoes.
History - horse came in from the field with an injury to the coronary band. Images are of the foot 7 months later. A hoof wall resection was performed under veterinary supervision to take pressure off the toe area and allow the horn to grow down. Thanks again to Jason Lindley for allowing me to help out.
History - horse was lame due to soft tissue damage. A toe extension has been welded to the shoe to help spread weight and reduce sinking in soft surfaces. Thanks to Jason Lindley for letting me help out.
Horse with laminitis. Clogs help to centralise body weight and stabilise the foot reducing pressure from the toe area. The cast acts as a artificial hoof. Weight is transferred from the hoof wall and on to the cast.
