We are hoping to open tomorrow as normal, but all is depending on how the snow falls overnight and if the staff can get in. Please keep an eye on Facebook and your phones tomorrow morning just in case 🤞❄️

NANNY BEARS NURSERY BROADCLYST OPEN DAY.
We are having a open day on Monday 11th February 2019 10am - 2pm. You will get a chance to view the setting and learn about the Nanny Bears Ethos.

As part of providing high quality childcare all of our staff are Paediatric First Aid trained, including myself. Today I went on my refresher course and found out something that we as parents probably don’t think about at home. iPhone charger cables, we all probably have them in most rooms in our house and left on all the time. But if your child were to put it in their mouth this is what can happen, at the very least 😢 I am very sorry to share such a horrible picture but I feel that the awareness is needed as it’s the little things that we don’t think about that can harm our precious babies 😘

If any of our lovely parents have any spare clothes (especially socks) that they no longer use, can we please have them for our spare clothes box? Thank you 🙏

We are so grateful to be able to work with the fantastic Lingotots! Our little people really love learning new languages and are really picking up French! We are learning some new words too!

WE ARE RECRUITING A SENIOR EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER. Full-time.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified, reliable, enthusiastic and gentle Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our warm and homely team at Nanny Bears Nursery and Pre-school in Wonford, Exeter.
The EYP role will be responsible for the smooth running of a room in our setting in Wonford, including developing strong and appropriate relationships with children and their parents, responsible for observations..., assessments and planning of our children, engaging and supporting imaginative and creative child-led activities, and supporting educational outings and activities.
MUST be level 3 qualified and have at least 3 years recent experience in childcare.
Pay to be discussed, 6 weeks holidays and flexible hours.

Today we used Playdoh and natural resources to make models of ourselves! We used the mirrors so we could see what we looked like, we used beads as eyes and sticks as hair. We talked about long and short hair, different eyes colours and looking at similarities between our friends.

As part of our theme ‘Healthy Living’ this month we will be having a strong focus on looking after our bodies, experimenting with lots of scummy fruit smoothies and we will all be getting lots of fresh air and spending time exploring nature. We will also be freshening up on our yoga techniques, here are some of the poses so you can do them at home with your little ones 🙏

A very productive weekend - exploring and getting lots of inspiration for the new setting! Neutral, calm, fresh colours with lots of natural resources. So excited to begin the next adventure ❤️ Open day dates coming soon!

Shaving foam and paint! Encourages experimenting and provokes thought by exploring textures and colours- the babies loved it, they first looked a little confused but were intrigued to investigate further 😊

All of our settings are small, personal and unique in a calm, warm and inviting environment. We focus on creating a individual experience for every children in our care and work on forming strong bonds with all of our children and parents.
... Our setting in Broadclyst will cater for children from birth to 3 years and it will a very small number of children a day. We will be open 7.45-6pm and fee’s include all food, snacks, outings, nappies and wipes. We take the children on regular outings and have a strong emphasises on healthy living, with locally sourced food and regular activities such as yoga and baby massage.
