About National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire

The National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire is an animal rescue and rehoming farm. Known locally as Trindledown Farm, we are also open to the public with a cafe, shop and the chance to walk around an active rescue centre.

National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire Description

Set in 10 acres on the edge of the Lambourn Downs, Trindledown Farm (NAWT's Berkshire branch) is dedicated exclusively to caring for those animals enjoying the twilight years of their lives. Our centre is home to both field animals and domestic pets. Elderly animals make great companions for people looking to rehome a pet and can often suit those with the most sedentary of lifestyles.

We rehome around 50 birds, cats, dogs and field animals at our Berkshire centre every year. Every animal has been individually assessed and cared for by our experienced and dedicated staff. All animals are vet-checked and assessed before being rehomed.

The centre specialise in the older animal and really provide that extra level of care for animals whilst they await their new homes. The staff are helpful, informative and really love the animals they care for, ensuring they go to the right homes!

I’ve just adopted Spotty and the whole process was fantastic. It’s a beautiful centre with an amazing team caring for the animals.

I have rehomed three elderly dogs from NAWT Berkshire, the first being a Jack Russell, and the second two a pair of dogs. Each time, the team at NAWT Berkshire have been a source of immense support, when the Jack Russell was pts 6 months after I’d adopted her, and then when I adopted the pair of dogs and they had medical and behavioural issues. I can’t praise them enough.

User

An amazing place that looks after animals big and small. Thank you for a lovely time feeding the lambs today.
