About National Cancer Research Institute
The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) is a UK-wide partnership between cancer research funders that promotes collaboration in cancer research.
National Cancer Research Institute Description
The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) is a UK-wide partnership of cancer research funders, established in 2001. Its 19 member organisations work together to improve health and quality of life by accelerating progress in the cancer-related research, through collaboration.
NCRI works to coordinate research related to cancer, to improve the quality and relevance of the research and to accelerate translation of the research into clinical practice for the benefit of patients.
As a Partnership, NCRI coordinates a range of activities including managing a comprehensive network of Clinical Studies Groups and a clinical trials units group, which develop and implement high quality cancer clinical studies; hosting the UK’s largest Cancer Conference; collating cancer research funding data on behalf of our Partners; and running time limited initiatives that address gaps and opportunities in cancer research.
