A great museum packed to the rafters with interactive displays for all ages. The atmosphere is felt through out each floor, just look at the worn stone steps, it must have taken a couple of hundred years to be like they are. We will be visiting again :o)

Really interesting visit with so much to see and lots of information and history, finished off with a trip around the block in a real fire engine. Great value for money.

This museum is a gem absolutely brilliant too see all things 999 great to be able to try uniforms on and sit on various emergency vehicles see the cells and real old 1800's vehicles outstanding 2-3 hour walk round nice little cafe and coffee shop too the only thing that would be nice to see the vehicle s outside is under cover more to protect our history for longer and not to deteriorate further thanks for my visit enjoyed fully

Brilliant museum for families!

Lots of child oriented displays for all ages. Could easily have left my toddler there for many hours playing!

Good changing/toilet facilities one in the disabled toilet the other in a unisex toilet so good for fathers.

Cafe had a limited range as it's an on going project but not bad prices and it seemed okay to bring your own... maybe by a coffee or two just to support them though =).

Very interesting for adults too in the range of displays and social history. Gives a good insight into the workings of the emergency services over time.

Not very buggy or wheelchair friendly though unfortunately but this something they are working on.

Can't believe I've lived in Sheffield for 15+ years and never been here before! Will be coming again =).

Really enjoyed this museum, informative and interactive. You can even climb on some of the vehicles. Great for kids, but even my party of adults really enjoyed ourselves!

Great museum, in need of funding to keep up the good work.

I've not been yet, but this museum doesn't sounds like the type of place that disabled people who like the history of the emergency services (like me, although my forte is the police) should avoid like the plague because, unless you're a wheelie (wheelchair) user, they don't do concessions...you have to pay the full £8. To me, this is a major put-off if you're planning to visit quite often, if you don't mind paying nearly ten quid to visit, fine, but if not, don't even bother. The feller who I spoke to said that really they should charge more considering the size of the place. What a flaming cheek! Charge any more (like ten quid) and watch the visitor figures DROP because I guarantee that NO-ONE will want to visit if that's the case.
