Really good place to visit. We really enjoyed it. Watch the video before you go around . Honest it helps. Hidden gem in Great Yarmouth.
I am sure if you love history you would like this house. However I went with my 2 young children who basically ran round the house in 5 mins. They do have a small play bit for very young children. But I must admit I wasn't that impressed. They only bit I liked was the bedroom where the kids could dress up in the period costume.
Cute little place, kids get a quiz. Fills about half an hour or more if they dress up. Did tollhouse two minutes away too also a short stop.
It was a great hour. We went on the last hour before closing. Just because it was £1 per entry. It was great.
Excellent if you want to learn more about the English Civil War. Has extra details just for small children.
If you love history this is a must will be going back again
Well worth a visit, very good information about exhibits, and there are other interesting places nearby.
Absolutely worth a visit when in Great Yarmouth. The Conspiracy room is where you can try on Cromwell armour is a real delight. The whole Elizabethan house and private courtyard has an amazing sense of history. The lady who explained the details of this charming house was enthusiastic and delightful as was the gentleman at the reception. Why not complete the whole experience and invite the staff to dress in the period costumes of the day, now that would complete the whole experience. Your imagination would be tested and you would remember the moment.
