National Type One Diabetes Camp Uk
About National Type One Diabetes Camp Uk
Camping for Children and families affected by Type One Diabetes. Meeting other children and families in the same situation from all over the UK
National Type One Diabetes Camp Uk Description
It can be tough living with Type 1 Diabetes, for both children and their families. Meeting up with other people in similar situations helps enormously. There are practical things like picking up hints and tips about how to bolus for pizza without a night of corrections, but just as important is being able to laugh, and even cry (if you want to! ) about the things which make up our type 1 journey.
This camp is about bringing together children and families with diabetes to have fun. It will the the barbecue where everyone is carb counting, the swimming trip where people disconnect their pumps, and the crazy party where we crack out the glucotabs to counteract all the dancing! And it will all be normal : )

Hello everyone, I am a final year pharmacy student currently doing my dissertation on the topic ''Perception of type 1 diabetics on insulin inhalers''. This survey is targeted at UK residents who have type 1 diabetes who use insulin injection to manage their diabetes. The aim is to explore your opinion on insulin inhalers which is currently only available in the US market. You do not need any experience or knowledge about insulin inhalers in order to complete the survey. All of you opinions are valuable and I would really appreciate it if you could spare few minutes and take part in this. Thank you

Such a wonderful weekend. Went away not knowing anyone. Came home feeling a wonderful sense of community.
Very informative too.
Thank you to all those who organised this weekend. Looking forward to the next one.
Great weekend, so many laughs! Amazing to see the kids having so much fun together :)
Great weekend, a real sense of community and very well-planned. Thank you to the organisers, and a special mention to Craig and Jo for letting us watch the match in their awning! Met some great people and my kids loved every minute, thanks again.
Great weekend of fun, laughter and Co versatile for both the adults and children. Thanks for organising see you next year 🖒
Fantastic opportunity, excellent site, well organised. Can't wait to go again and to try out new ideas gained this weekend.
Brilliant just plain brilliant
Absolutely brilliant. Loved how if our kiddies were hypo someone was nearby to help them treat. Gave them some much needed freedom to run and play knowing there was so many people around that 'got it'. Brilliant choice of site and I can't wait to see you all again next year (and hopefully more families joining us) xx
