Working with Boo in Bedfordshire
This video shows part some of a session with Boo the Chug and her owners Lisa and Ricky that we worked with while down in Bedfordshire this week. Lisa and Ricky own 3 dogs in total, Boo was the most reactive to basically anything in the environment including other dogs, her owner was also massively fearful of Rottweilers when I met her on Monday, here she is just two days later walking her previously reactive dog with two other dogs and also c...onquering her fear of Rottweilers! I'm very proud of the owners and also my boy Bud, he's a great advocate for the breed ♥️.

Bram and Lilly on their very wet walk and train this morning.
Our walk and train service is available to clients between training sessions and is a great way for me to build my relationship with the dogs which has massive benefits in their 1-1 sessions.

Snoop dog!! 😎
As you may have seen we've been down in Bedfordshire and the surrounding area training since last Friday. On Monday we began working with Steve and Andrea and their dog Snoop the Doberman. Just 3 days ago we met a dog that the owners were struggling to control in most situations ..in the home, on lead walks, off lead etc, they were also worried that Snoop may show signs agression towards other dogs. After putting some structure in place Snoop was introduced t...o Bud and Jack, Snoop was in no way aggressive, he was simply an exitable young dog that lacked rules and boundaries (make no mistake though his previous "pushy" attitude/behaviours could have easily got him into trouble with other dogs). We spent 3 days doing extended sessions with Snoop and his owners and as you can see we ended with Snoop sharing his garden with Jack and Bud and also remaining calm with cows on the other side of the garden wall when he isn't usually even allowed out in the front garden due to the cows being there and the fact that he previously reacted to them. We had great fun working with Snoop and his owners and I'm completely confident they will have lots of success moving forward. We will be keeping in touch over the next few months via video chat to make sure everything is going well.

Group class relay race!
A little bit of fin from todays group class, in the relay race everyone must carry a glass of water in their lead hand while handling their dog, ww mark people on time + the amount of water left in the glass... This class did an awesome job with this exercise!

Some positive feedback from one of this weeks client's.
We have been having major work done at the NDB Training Centre over the last couple of months which has left us with very limited time, we are closed next week as we are going on holiday. When we reopen the business will be restructured... Keep an eye out on the page for upcoming posts and updates!

Lexi the GSD (3Yrs old)
Lexi's owner recently travelled from away to work with us, he has previously worked with other trainers, first to teach Lexi competition obedience etc as he'd originally planned to do IPO with her, Lexi does great in an area with no distractions but completely loses focus in real world environments and is extremely reactive to other dogs. Lexi owner has tried training to correct this issue but with no success, he then got in touch with us a couple... of months ago and arranged to travel to Scarborough for a session at the NDB Training Centre. We worked on Teaching Lexi to "swith off" to help her achieve a relaxed and calm state of mind, we then addressed her reactivity. As you can see in the video Lexi and her owner both did an awesome job! We'll be seeing them again in a month or so to progress her follow up and move forward with their training.

Along with structured exercises, engagement and focus on the owner/handler play a major part in our training. We find that many dogs are more interested in the environment around them than thay are in their owner/handler, so that's often one of the first things we work on with new clients. The process of building engagement has many real world benefits as well as being extremely beneficial to the bond you share with your dog.

Dexters consultation
You may have seen our recent post from Dexters owners describing their weekend training with us, this video shows some of their consultation. Although Dexter is a big strong boy he is very nervous/anxious and his previous behaviours made it difficult for him and his owners to enjoy the world.
As you can see in the consultation I am not putting any pressure on Dexter AT ALL in any way, yet he still feels nervous and anxious of the situation and his surroun...dings. We spent the weekend teaching Dexters owners how to apply leadership that he can trust to make him feel safe and secure... And also giving the owners the tools and knowledge to empower themselves to feel confident handling and leading their dog.

Group class week 2!
The majority of the dogs in this class began working with us for reactivity and agression issues, they have all had their one to one sessions before moving to group classes....and they are all doing awesome now!
We're very proud of all the dogs and owners in this class!

Pack Walk!
Some video from last weekends pack walk.....all of our clients start on a 1-1 basis and move onto other services such as pack walks when they are ready. This short video shows a little bit of how we do "structured pack walks", almost every dog in this video was previously reactive/aggressive but through their owners hard work and dedication they are now doing extremely well as you can see!

R.I.P Evie 😢💔
Today one of our most loyal clients, who has also become a close friend, had to say the heartbreaking goodbye to one of her dogs due to unfortunate health issues. I loved this girl to bits and working with her was an absolute pleasure, you will be missed forever and always Evie 😢, rest in peace beautiful girl ❤️❤️.
