Whether you are new to the area or to parenthood the NCT offers you friendship and support. The North Beds branch is divided into small area groups and has a lot to offer you. Antenatal courses, a quarterly 'Bedpost' magazine, Bumps & Babes meetings, breastfeeding counseling, feeding bras, postnatal support, nearly new sales and social events.

Are you interested in learning a new skill? Studies have shown that baby massage can be beneficial for mum and baby as it can help develop the bond between them, improve baby's digestion and sleep. Tracy Machin our local Baby Massage practitioner has a course starting 21st February at 12, In St Johns Church Hall. Each week she will teach you the strokes to help soothe and settle your baby building up your technique as the weeks progress.

Our Spring Nearly New Sale will be taking place on Saturday the 27th April 2019, at Bedford International Athletics Stadium, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK41 9SB.
Doors open at 12.00pm for members (with a valid membership card) and at 12.30pm for non-members. The sale will be extended and will remain open until 2.00pm. Admission is £1 in aid of NCT charity.

North Beds NCT Sling Hire Our sling hire is a volunteer led service to help you navigate the complex world of baby carriers. Not all slings fit the adults and babies in the same way, and it can help to try before you buy a carrier to make sure you have one that works for you both. At the library we have a selection of different slings (all fitting from around newborn and meeting 2015 safety standard) that you can come along and have a look at, you can try them on and if you want to hire one - take it away and use it for 2 weeks for a hire fee of £5. All we ask is that you leave us a deposit of £50, to ensure safe return of the sling. Our library runs every Thursday 10.30-11 within our Bumps & Babes group (St John's Church Hall MK42 0DL) so you can get a coffee and a biscuit afterwards too.
