Sustainability portal, scoring system, and window Quality Mark so independent High Street businesses can establish and promote their green credentials, and shoppers can find, compare and support them via location app. 82% of consumers want to shop sustainably. The problem is they don't know where to go. At the same time, high street businesses (especially the independents) are struggling to assess and promote their sustainability efforts. By combining 1) the UK's leading retail location data provider with 2) a ground-breaking sustainability software solution, Nearer will enable high street businesses to establish and improve their green credentials in a way that's accurate, affordable and efficient. Beyond a framework agnostic capability, a common sense Quality Mark score will then allow consumers to find and compare the sustainability of businesses and make their spending decisions accordingly. Other layers can be added to view the data by street / ward / constituency / borough / county / etc, as required. Currently, we are seeking partners who wish to join us at a strategic level; and are looking to raise seed financing to enact numerous improvements to the existing nearer.com site / app; to build the sustainability software (which will be an adaptation of software that is currently used in the Private Equity industry); and are also putting together a pilot with a local council for 50-100 businesses.
