Busy watch this afternoon. Pan pan upgraded to a Mayday closely followed by another PanPan. First was a yacht taking on water SW of the Needles. Maintain ed eyes on and liaised with NMOC. Yarmouth ALB put man aboard and escorted casualty to safety. Then small craft with engine trouble between Coldwell Bay and Hurst. Lymington CRT and Needles NCI had eyes on . Lymington ILB launched and towed casualty to Lymington.

Good-evening. I have now worked my way through todays images of the Princess Royals visit. Tonight it is a general selection of images tomorrow I hope to add those I took at the formal presentations.

Arrived a little early for the big event to get a feel of the layout and angles. Just downloaded the images and I couldn't resist this one taken before it all started. The expressions says, 'I've just trodden on your foot'. With apologies to the 'actors'. More of the real event will follow in due course.

With all the seal and dolphin activity around the Island at the moment I thought it a good idea to advertise this course again as it's only next month. The Isle of Wight Branch of British Divers Marine Life Rescue are running a Marine Mammal Medic Course on September 16th at Yaverland Sailing Club.
