Some of the memorabilia on display for the DD Celebration at Netley Court
Lieutenant Steve James, Chief Petty Officer Dave Fielding and Petty Officer Derek Nicholls from HMS Collingwood came to our Gents club today. They attended to honour our resident Leslie Johncey who trained at Collingwood during WW2. Leslie then escorted the troop ships on D Day. The Officers had lunch and spent time talking to all of those attending the gentleman's club.They then presented Leslie with a pair of HMS Collingwood cufflinks and a bottle of Collingwood Port to share with residents.
