The second production of #NHOFestival19 is Mozart’s ‘Cosi fan Tutte’ for which we are delighted to be partnering with The Royal Northern Sinfonia once more in iconic NHO Theatre.
A high energy tale of love, temptation and partner-swapping, Mozart’s popular opera delights in this elegant art-deco staging from Director Adele Thomas.
This original production from Northern Ireland Opera is full of intrigue and delight and is sure to be an event not to be missed.

We are pleased to announce that #NHOFestival19 will commence with productions of Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
A lovers tiff between fairy-king Oberon and his queen Tytania leads to a night of mistaken identities, confused lovers and alarming transformations.
Based on Shakespeare’s comedy, with a magical score by Benjamin Britten we will once again be joining forces with the Britten Sinfonia, under the baton of conductor Nicholas Chalmers.
... A cast of young artists will shine as the NHO theatre is transformed for the opening of our 2019 festival. Our fantastic NHO Children’s Chorus will make a welcome return as the Chorus of Fairies.

This evening I took part in a fantastic & free come and sing at Nevill Holt with Nick Chalmers NH Director of Music plus a lovely soprano soloist: the chapel is a fine resonant space to sing in, we learned to sing with our toes, & a motley crew performed four opera choruses remarkably well in only 2 hours - Verdi's Hebrew chorus was the soaring success for me.

The Marriage of Figaro was outstanding. Congratulations to cast, orchestra and crew. The soloists were outstanding.

I realised this morning that I could get across to The Sage in July so have booked to see it again.

Simply put the recital by Giselle was brilliant. Looking forward to Tosca this Summer.
