This might just be London's most relaxed member's club. Make your way through the blue door entrance on Greek Street; down the carpeted stairs; sign in at the door; and settle into what feels like the set of a mafia drama. On the walls and ceilings are framed photos of boxers, footballers, Italian inspired decor and friends new and old. There's only a couple of dimly-lit tables and a cosy smoking area out back through the toilets, with a perfectly stocked bar with almost ever...ything is about four quid (in Soho!). One of the last bastions of 'Old Soho', a place of hedonistic community spirit (75 years and counting...), a proper family affair where everyone that comes through the door is a close friend of the owner, Trisha. There will always be someone at the bar who'll give you the low down on the club's history as an illegal gambling den for Soho’s Italian community of years gone by. Live music on intermittent weekends makes this a good spot for a lively drink on Fridays and Saturdays, or just swing by in the week for a cheap drink in Soho. Technically a member's club, you either have to wheedle your way in or cough up a tenner for the year. See you there!
