Great place to stop on either your way up or down through Clovelly for either a drink,or a snack or a meal.Would recommend.

I wondered why my room, no.19 was so cheap at just £32. At first i was more than satisfied, large double room with shared bathroom. Until, after laying in bed for 45mins or so I began itching and scratching on my legs, which became worse and worse until I have abandoned lying IN bed and instead laid ON the duvet. Didn't get any sleep through itching, and next morning there were literally dozens and doZens of flea bites all over my legs and other areas.
I refused to pay the full amount and have them £20, but here I am 2 days later suffering with puss filled bites all over my legs, painful and itchy. I should have refused to pay anything!!
Unbelievable how they get away with this, the room was pretty filthy too, cobwebs, litter under and around bed etc.
Don't stay here....is my advice.
Though rather basic inside, this pub has a nice beer garden, which sets it aside in such a small, steeply sloped village. A nice spot to enjoy a drink after climbing back up from the seafront.
Had a quick drink here after a day at the beach. Very friendly staff and a great pint. Nice atmosphere and slightly quirky decor. Recommended.
Considering the idyllic location I felt that the New Inn lacked charm. The menu was fine although, again, was void of effort. I felt that such a lovely location could have been complemented more had the offerings of the New Inn matched the care taken with the rest of Clovelly.
