Newbury Dog And Cat First Aid Course Description

This is a four hour Cat and Dog first aid course including a break in the middle for refreshments. Although it is a full-on course, it is very friendly and fun.

Why learn first aid for your cat or dog?

Those vital moments prior to getting to a vet can save your cat or dogs life.

The correct course of action taken immediately after your cat or dog has been involved in an accident or suffered from sudden sickness can save its life

Although accidents and events happen instantly and without warning, an illness may been present for some time but only discovered and suddenly become an emergency.

Cats and dogs cannot communicate verbally and explain how they feel or what has happened to them. However they do have indications and signs that may reveal vital information that could help you to determine a course of action.

Is your cat or dog breathing?

Is its heart beating?

Is it bleeding?

Is its temperature normal?

Is it behaving abnormally?

A cat is more likely to run away when ill, whereas a dog will stay at home but become withdrawn.

Would you know what to do if your cat or dog suddenly became ill or sustained injury?
