Sad news from Ben Pauling Racing about Willoughby Court who has passed away following a battle against infection...he had one of his finest days when winning the Grade 2 Ladbrokes Novices' Chase here in December 2017🏆
Our thoughts are with Ben and all connections. RIP.

Our opening Flat meeting of 2019 climaxes with the Greenham Stakes, a key trial for the 2,000 Guineas won by superstars such as Frankel and Kingman in recent years. It’s a chance to see some of last season’s most exciting juveniles begin their three-year-old campaign and witness some stars of the future too, with subsequent Royal Ascot scorer Eagle Top victorious on the day in 2015.
Why not take a break from the action and enjoy our annual beer festival? With a wide selection of real ales & ciders on offer, it is the perfect accompaniment to a thrilling days racing.

Two days of exciting Flat racing kick off what will be a momentous 2019 season at Newbury. Winners on the card in recent years included subsequent Group 1 winner Seville Star and Lah Ti Dar, who went on two Listed successes and multiple Group 1 placings. The meeting often proves a pivotal one in terms of early season form for racing fans.
Real ale enthusiasts have cause for excitement too, as we will be hosting our annual beer festival over both days of the meeting, with a wide selection of real ales & ciders on offer.

The EBF & TBA ‘National Hunt’ Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, a valuable and important Grade 2 handicap, forms the centrepiece of our final day of the 2018/19 Jump season. The supporting card also features the valuable Be Wiser Insurance Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, run for £40,000 again in 2019.
Make it a day to remember with one of our Hospitality Boxes, offering fantastic views of the racecourse with packages to suit all budgets and requirements.

The 2018/19 Jump season at Newbury draws to a close with two days of competitive racing and a chance to see some promising young horses perform in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Beer Goggles was a notable winner from 2017 going on to win the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle here later that year.
You could try out our Brasserie restaurant – it offers a fresh, seasonal menu in a relaxed informal atmosphere, with no pre-booking required. Food is served until approximately 40 minutes before the last race.

One of our successful charity racedays, this is the perfect opportunity to see some future stars of the jumps world. Previous winners on this day have included Just A Par, Thomas Crapper and Warriors Tale, all of whom have gone on to graded success.
