Gutted with the result. But if I'm honest we deserved to get beat if you look over the game. We got dominated for most of the game. Up until Chelsea scored we never really posed a threat going forward. Very negative. I thought. Starting with 5 at the back. Chelsea smelt blood. Usually we give Chelsea a wicked game when they come up here. But today we were very flat.
From my view I'm not sure about the penalty and haven't seen any repla...ys, can someone let me know if it was or not.
1 point from the first 3 with City next in the league. I'm not to worried about that just yet as we all knew going into the season it was gonna a hard start for us.
On to forest on the wedensday and hopefully pick up something from there to generate a little confidence amongst the squad going into the hardest game of the season next Saturday.

Thing is Graeme you were given backing and still played crap ! Rafa gets a profit on transfers despite the huge rise in wealth of the game and still gets peanuts.
He seems particularly annoying and in a mood today and Jamie Redknapp just chirps in with comments like "that isn't football.". When you look at what both managers have to work with its obvious we would try this.

It's 0-0 at the break here in game that has been about Chelsea's attack and our defence for the majority of the 45 minutes. One shot on target from NUFC and a couple of chances when they've countered. Chelsea have for the most part been kept at arms length. Lascelles has been shown watching the game.
Not a bad 45 minutes by any stretch despite 21% possession.
I've been impressed with Ki, Murphy, Rondon, Yedlin, Diame and Fernandez but no one's been bad. We are still in it d...espite their abundance of riches.
What's your thoughts?
Ps Graeme Souness is an annoying twat "I wouldn't of got away with that performance when I was manager."

Rafa has played down Shelvey and Lascelles not playing and states it's just down to knocks and they'll be back.
