Last night was our last rehearsal before the Christmas break & we decided to think of others who are maybe in need of a little help. Tonight the company had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for £7000 to Olly & his family following the amazing bucket collections at our CATS show week. A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated. Team Olly has raised over £50,000 & Olly’s vision is becoming a reality! Go Team Olly!! 😃😃

Wizard. Of Oz was fantastic.I don't think people realise how much work and dedication goes into a few months of rehearsals.A wonderful group of people to share a musical hobby with.wishing NMTC many more happy years to bring so much pleasure to the people of Newcastle..

Wizard of Oz was fantastic today. Brilliant acting and singing. Children were enthralled.Well done.

We were lucky enough to see last night's performance! It was excellent! Everyone was perfectly cast with no weak links. The band were superb and the chorus of both adults and children were fantastic, coping with some very intricate choreography. The energy and commitment of every single person was tangible. My husband and I have worked in professional theatre since 1983 and both agreed that a full-time professional company would have been hard-pressed to better this production! Thank you for a wonderful evening. We shall savour it for many years.

Was just fantastic. The voices, the choreography the blocking , the casting. Well done on another outstanding show!

Took my two daughters to see this tonight 25/7 and it was phenomenonal. Cats is one of our favourite musicals and you didn't disappointed. The performance was equally as good as some of the professional versions we have seen. You kept the Rumtum tugger as he should be. Massive congratulations to everyone involved and thank you for a fantastic evening x

This is my first time in Newcastle and I'm working here. Normally, I just sit in my hotel room on my laptop but tonight I decided to go for a walk. I stumbled across the Theatre, was drawn inside and asked what was on.. the next thing I knew, I had bought a ticket and on my way up to the circle.. oh how glad am I. What a fantastic show with laughs and dare I say it .. tears!! . You took me right back to my childhood and I fell in love with you ALL, all over again. Fantastic voices, beautiful harmonies stirring lots of emotions for many.

Thank you for all the hard work you put in to entertain us. Much love. Xxxx

This Company is amazing and you won't find a better company in the North East at doing Musical Theatre.

Myself and the family came along to watch CATS opening show on Tuesday evening. As I have never seen the muscial or watched your group perform I was unsure what to expect But you absolutely blew me and my family away, the whole evening from start to finish was outstandling brilliant. The scenery, the costumes, the singing & the acting from the youngest to the oldest was fantastic!

I would encourage everyone to go and watch it - the talents of the NMTC on the stage were as good as any other musical I/you may have watched previously. A special shout out to my wonderful niece Megan Ormston who brought tears to my eyes & made us all extremely proud. Well Done & Congratulations to all invovled in CATS, I hope all the performances go as well as opening night.

My daughter and I went to see Cats yesterday at Newcastle Theatre Royal. Absolutely fantastic performance. The actors and actresses are superb, the costumes are amazing. Brilliant brilliant performance. Even teared up when Memories was sung! Top marks and well done to you all for an amazing performance �

My 5 year old daughter and I came to see the performance on Thursday evening and were blown away. We absolutely loved it. The orchestra were fabulous, 'Dorothy' was SO convincing and there wasn't a weaker performer in sight - a truly professional performance and beyond!

Maria's voice was stunning ! Loved the dream scene 'there's a place for us 'and the girls in America were fantastic although I enjoyed pretty much all of the show well done x

Just back from the Saturday matinee performance of this amazing production. Cried my eyes out at the brilliantly played drama and emotion. So much work and passion had gone into the vocals and the incredible choreography which achieved what it set out to do. Utterly in awe of what you have achieved. Thankyou xxx

July 25th I went to see your version of Cats after seeing information on FB page North East Theatre Practitioners UK. I have seen many pro versions but I would like to say WOW !!!!! you nailed it. Loved the set based on the Quayside nice touch. The lightening, sound, band, costumse, choreography and of course the Cast. Only person I knew in the cast was Jo Jo having worked with her last Christmas. My only Gripe is why when people go to the theatre need to use mobiles. There was a group who chatted and txted throughout most of the show.



Spoke to a gentleman in a wheelchair at end of show whom I assited by holding open some dooors, I think he was linked to the group but we chatted about the theatre in Alnwick etc and I told him what a fantastic show by yourselves. Congratulations to all involved. .

I was at the Saturday matinee and loved every minute of this fabulous musical - one of my favourites. I was blown away by the whole show. The principals were outstanding and the singing and dancing by the whole cast was fantastic!! All the months of rehearsing and planning certainly paid off. We could well have been watching a professional cast in the west end. Huge congratulations to all concerned (front stage and back stage)!!

I am lucky enough to go often to the theatre but this is the BEST show I have ever seen it tops some of the travelling west end ones i have been to .I was so impressed west side story is my favourite musical of all time and I was worried it might not have been the same on stage .. I was so wrong it was incredible you did it proud and stayed so true to the script . I can't tell you how much I Loved loved loved it amazing well done all cast and crew all the choreography was perfect and the actors/singers/performers were incredible all took an excellent role with voices that gave you goosebumps , the orchestra were fabulous the whole thing was brilliant I cannot recommend or rate the show highly enough just tremendous

Have just seen the amazing performance of West Side Story. The whole cast were just amazing but special praise must go to Jamie Douglass, Nikki Cunningham and Lauren Gordon for such outstanding and emotional performances. Simply brilliant!

Fantastic show tonight (Wednesday), thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the main characters are superbly cast and have a professional standard supporting cast. I was on the edge of my seat until the very end. Well done!

Amazing show today. My 8 year old loved Rum Tum Tugger and has been copying his dance moves since. Such a talented company! X
