As part of the guidance to the H&S (First Aid) Regs. 1981 para.81 says:-
"The Regulations allow for a person to be appointed to provide emergency cover in the absence of first-aiders but only where the absence is due to exceptional, unforeseen and temporary circumstances. Absences such as annual... leave do not count. If the first-aid needs assessment indicates that first-aiders are required, they should be available whenever the need arises. This means that at all times during the working day there should be a first-aider on duty"
Also useful to have enough trained people to cover ALL possible scenarios!

I attended an Emergency First Aid at Work course today. I found Lynn to be very knowledgeable and informative. It had been 14 years since my last training and things have changed a bit! Lynn talked us through each section and demonstrated what we were to do before helping and guiding us through the tasks at hand. Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere too. I would highly recommend NG training for all your first aid training needs

Highly recommend this.. Great course.. No time to get bored or distracted.. Learnt lots I didn't know thankyou
